Daydreaming

A girl is dancing to this tune

A tormented rhythm yet too soon

It left space when the music stopped

Another day she wish she had

So she waits patiently in her room

Slowly vanishing, and time is, too

But she looked about her wandering mind

A rhythm she had, yet she can't find

She collected memories from her past

And made melodies from those that didn't last

Hoping to find a trace of the rhythm

That reminded her of nothing but him

Her mind wanders every day

She builds up melodies which were too frail

Nothing compared to what has been left

So she pretends to dance against what's finite

An endless dream it may seem

To fill the emptiness where the music has been
