Ch. 12 "Adjusting"

                                                                   Jayden POV 

It was my first night home, after who knows how long in the hospital, I'm laying in bed trying to get comfortable when I hear a noise

I slowly get out of bed, I'm not supposed to move to fast because of the stitches but it's whatever, 

I open the door and start walking down the hallway until I bump into Alaric, Elena and Jenna, 

"Jayden, Elena, Ahem," Alaric said 

Alaric lowers a ice cream bowl he's carrying down below if you get my drift, 

"I heard something," Elena said 

I nodded, still a little loopy from the pain killers, 

Alaric chuckles nervously I look at Alaric he was embarrassed, 

Aunt Jenna walks up to us wearing Alaric's shirt 

"That was us I'm sorry," Aunt Jenna said 

"We didn't think anyone else was up," Alaric said 

"But here you two are," Jenna said 

"We were just-" Alaric said 

"Chunky Monkey?" He said offering ice cream, 

I chuckled but regretted it, wincing at the pain, 

"You alright?" Jenna asked 

I nodded, 

"I'm uh gonna go back to sleep, goodnight guys," I said 

"Night Jayden," Everyone said 

                                 Third Person POV 

"You don't believe her do you?" Elena asked 

"No of course not, we just want the moonstone," Damon said 

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break," Stefan said 

"No spell no doppelgänger sacrifice ergo, you live," Damon said 

"How do you destroy it?" Elena asked 

"By releasing it from the moonstone," Stefan said 

"How do you guys even know that is gonna work?" Elena asked 

"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side," Damon said 

"You discussed it with Bonnie." Elena said stunned 

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us," Stefan said 

"It's Katherine who has the moonstone she's not gonna give it to you," Elena said 

"We're gonna git it from her," Stefan said 

"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have to," Damon said 

"By the way how is she?" Damon asked 

Elena knew who he was talking about Jayden, 

"Sigh, she's putting on a act but.." Elena said looking up knowing Jayden was upstairs, 

"But?" Stefan said worried 

"But I think she's having a hard time with everything that happened," Elena said 

The brother's both nodded knowing full well, Jayden was a light she had a different way of looking at the world, knowing the girl was in pain caused the brother's pain, sure it was a short time they've known Jayden, but they loved her like a sister, they cared about her like a sister, sure she didn't know about the supernatural or anything that has gone on in Mystic Falls but they cared about her none the less, 

                                                           Jayden POV 

I was in my room I was reading a book when one of my Terrors happened, you see recently I've been reliving the terrible things that have happened for example when I was stuck in a car with my family submerged under water

I fell to the floor, Sweat dropping down my face, I felt it, the water, unable to breath, I see my dad, the fear in his eyes, 

Then I felt someone lightly tapping on my cheek, 

"BlueBird you with me," I see Damon, 

My heart feeling like it was pounding out of my chest, 

"What's wrong with her?' Elena said 

I felt paralyzed, 

"Looks like a panic attack," Damon said 

Damon turned my head left and right lightly, 

"That's it focus on me Blue bird," He said 

I did as he said 

"Long deep breaths," He said 

I did that also, 

Finally I calmed down, 

Damon picked me up off the floor and sat me on the Bed, 

"How long has this been going on BlueBird?" He asked 

"A few weeks," I mumbled 

Damon looked back at Stefan and Elena worried 

"It's not a big deal," I mumbled looking away, 

"Your suffering that makes it a big deal," Damon said 

"Don't worry we'll help you," Damon said petting my hair
