Ch. 6 "Different"

                                                    Jayden POV 

Today when I woke up I felt different, I felt inspired, I felt good, I decided to get my sketch books out and start drawing again, 

I was sitting on the couch drawing, 

"You're wallowing," I heard Jenna say 

"So are you," Elena said 

"My wallow is legitimate, I was dumped," Jenna said 

"Yeah, well Logan's a jerk," Elena said 

"Wanna keep it down over there?" I asked 

"Why? What are you doing?" Jenna asked 

"Drawing," I said 

"Since when do you draw?" Elena said 

"Because I haven't done it in forever," I said 

I feel their stares, 

"What do you think? Alien?" Elena said 

"Some sort of replicant," Aunt Jenna said 

"She can hear you," I said with sarcasm 

I was still drawing when my phone rang, 

"Care, what's up?" I asked 

"Come to the grill, there is a party," She said happily 

"Pass," I said 

"Come on you never go anywhere, it would be fun! Oh and dress nice!" She said before I could respond, she hung up, 

Sigh, I close my sketch book, 

I get dressed and head out without anyone knowing, I know Elena, Jere and Aunt Jenna are gonna be mad, but they need to let me live a little I thought 

I walk in the Grill and Care automatically sees me, 

"You made it!" She said hugging me, 

You didn't give me much of a choice in the matter," I said 

She smiled, 

I see Stefan playing pool with a blonde, so I decided I would go say hi, I like Stefan he is very nice, even that first day when I literally ran into him, 

"Hey Stefan," I said smiling at him, 

"Little Jay," Stefan said 

"Little Jay?" I asked 

"Well everyone has a nickname of some sort for you this is mine," He said smiling 

"Hmm, it's different I like it," I said smiling shyly 

"Who is this?" The woman asked 

"Oh, Lexi this is Jayden, little Jay, Lexi," Stefan said 

"Nice to meet you," I said shyly shaking her hand 

Later Lexi walks away to get some drinks, and I see my sister approach, 

"Jayden why are you here?' Elena asked 

"Care invited me," I said looking away, 

I can see they want to talk, 

"I'm uh gonna go find Care," I said walking away, 

After a little bit I see Stefan and Elena rush out of the Grill, 

I went to follow but, Sheriff Forbes stops me, 

"Jayden what are you doing here?" She asked then looked around for any of my relatives 

"And alone?" She said crossing her arms, 

Sheriff always treated me like a second daughter since I'm always spending the night at Care's when I get sick of Elena nagging on me, 

"Come on young lady I'll drive you hime," Lizz said 

"I can walk-" I began, 

"Not an option come on," She said 

I nodded I sat up front while Care is in the back passed out drunk, 

"You didn't drink did you?" Liz asked 

I shook my head no, 

"No, if I did that I know Everyone would have me on lockdown until I'm eighty," I said 

She chucked, we pulled up to my house, 

"Wait here," Liz said to Care, 

She walked me up to the door step knocking on the door, 

Aunt Jenna answered, and once she saw Liz then me her smile dropped, 

"Please tell me she didn't do anything destructive," Aunt Jenna said 

"No, nothing like that just out late at the grill by herself," Liz said 

Jenna sighed in relief, 

"Thank goodness, thank you Liz," Aunt Jenna said 

"Not problem," She said walking back to the car, 

"Room.. Now," Aunt Jenna said very mad,
