Unexpected Love

Chapter 22.

The next week passed with ease, we had no more meetings with the dark lord which I was thankful for. Me and Severus spent a few nights together. I loved being with him.
Tonight it was Christmas Eve and I was excited to wrap the presents I had bought for Severus, I hope he loves them.

I ran down stairs towards the drawing room and snatched a pumpkin pastie of the table.

"What's your rush Celia" Draco sneered.

"It's Christmas Eve Draco, I have presents to wrap and things to do" I replied eagerly.

"Ok, whatever" he rolled his eyes taking a sip of juice.

I quickly ran back up to my room with the food half in my mouth. I passed Severus on the way to my room.

"Celia" he announced.

I just tried to hum in response as my mouth was full.
Severus walked up to me and took the pastie out my mouth holding it.

"Heyy" I whined
"I was eating that"

"It was more just resting in your mouth"Severus replied taking a small bite out of the end.

"Did you need anything"I responded

"What are you doing tonight" he questioned.

"Just some things"
"Why"

"Would you like to accompany me on a walk"Severus said placing a hand on my shoulder and smiling softly.

"I would love to" I said before looking around and placing a kiss on his cheek.

"Meet behind the manor tonight at 8"

"It's a date"I whispered grazing his jawline with my finger tip.

I took the pastie of Severus and carried walking towards my room.
Tonight would be a perfect time to give Severus my presents for him to open tomorrow morning.

I decided to dress up tonight because it was a special night. I put on a black Mini dress and curled my hair into loose waves. I flicked my wand and I had smoky eyes and dark red lipstick. I grabbed the presents I had wrapped for Severus and shoved them into a small gift bag with his name on. I slowly made my way down the marble stairs trying not to get caught.
I eventually made it outside trying not to stumble on my way to the back of the manor in small wedged shoes.
I noticed Severus standing a couple metres away from the house. Severus was dressed up, he had an all black dress robes on with a small white collar peaking out from the top and black suit pants with smart black shoes. I also noticed a few curls in his hair as-well, which made me smile in awe.

"Severus"I whispered getting closer to him.
He quickly turned around and a small smile had been placed on his lips as he met my eyes.

"You look ravishing darling"Severus told me holding out his arm for me to take it.

"Thank you"
"You look very handsome sev" I replied squeezing his forearm.

"Now where to"he asked.

"I was hoping you had something planned"

"Very well, I have an idea"
"Hold tight" Severus told me.

Suddenly we started apparating.
I gripped his arm tighter and we was pulled in all different directions. I found we appeared in-front of a lake, it was in the middle of know where.

"Where are we" I announced taking a glance around.

"I visit here alone sometimes"Severus told me leading me closer to lake.

The lake was a teardrop silver colour. Not much sound rang out from the shimmering water except a few sounds of water lapping over each other. The lake was lined with pine trees and a sap sweet smell hung in the air.

"It's beautiful"I gaped.

"Like you Celia"Severus said turning me to face him. He cupped my jaw with his hands and ran his thumb across my cheek causing me to shiver from his touch. I put my hand on top of his and took it in my hand. I placed a soft kiss onto the centre of it.

"I love you"I whispered.

"I love you to darling"Severus told me placing a kiss onto my forehead. I clung my arm around Severus and led him to a spot of grass by the side of the lake.
I patted the spot next to me.

"I have something for you Severus"I told him grabbing the bag I had been carrying.

"Hm and what is that"

"It's your Christmas present silly"I said handing him the bag with the neatly wrapped presents in.
'But don't open it until Christmas morning' I demanded with a grin.

"Celia you didn't have to"
Severus put his arm around my back and pulled me closer to him.

"Of course I did"I buried my head into his chest.

"Here"he replied taking something out of his pocket .

"What's this"I questioned carefully taking the dark green box with a silver pattern on out of his hand.

"Your present"
"And your only allowed to open it tomorrow"he chuckled knowing I was eager to look inside.

"Awh Severus" I turned to him and placed a small kiss onto his lips.
I tried to pull away but Severus pulled my closer. He ran his hands through my hair and I melted into the kiss. It was perfect. We both pulled away and I saw Severus had some of my lipstick on his lips.
I chuckled to myself.

"What is funny darling" he asked raising his eyebrow.

"You just have a bit of my lipstick on your lips" I replied. I put my thumb up to his mouth and wiped away the red from his lips. Severus grabbed my hand and placed soft kisses down my arm before stopping and Taking his wand out and flicking it.

A small music box appeared out of nowhere and some classical music started playing. The song was called 'Experience' by Ludovico Einaudi.

"May I have this dance" Severus said holding out his hand.
I grabbed hold of it and stood up in-front of him.

"You may"I said placing my hand onto his shoulder and one onto his free hand. Severus placed his hand on my hip and we started swaying to the music.

"I never took you for a dancer Severus"

"Is that so"he said smoothly spinning me around which made me laugh.

I was pulled back into him and buried my head into his chest with my arms now wrapped around his neck. Severus had both hands on my waist as he swayed with me to the music. I looked up at him smiling down on me.

"How did I get so lucky"he murmured.

I reached up and kissed his lips.

"Likewise"I smiled.

The music stopped and Severus pulled me back to our previous spot. Severus summoned some fire whisky and poured me a glass. I sipped the drink and let the alcohol flow through me. I felt the buzz of the drink which warmed me up immediately.

"This is nice"I said gripping the cup in one hand.

"It is" Severus replied taking a small chug of the liquid while rubbing my back with his free hand.

We both layed into each other, looking up at the night sky. I nuzzled closer to Severus and put my head into the crook of his neck. He put his arm around me and closed his eyes. In this moment I just let all my worries go. Now was all that mattered, just me and Severus.
