~10:05amStartled awake from my slumber
By a phone call
Thought this could be the moment
That changes it all
But disappoint creeped in
When I heard the automatic message
Oh what I would give for
One more chance
To pick up the phone
And to ask you if anyone else was home
To apologize for unnecessary tears
And to learn the truth
I don't want to wait years
Should have known it wasn't what I thought
I over excited myself
But it was worth the shot
