I may act like I hate it
But I cherish our conversations
Even though I really never say shit
Your voice makes me feel like I can make it
Through another day

I think of what I could say

Get it right
I think maybe I might
Gain some confidence
And put up a fight
For you
Maybe I should've shown you some effort
Maybe then I wouldn't be here
