I'd let salt water cascade down my face &
pool into a ocean
If I only knew how
I'd get on knees to prove my devotion
without making sound
Trying to find a way to convey my emotions
without speaking out loud
I've found no other way but words on a page
to say what I said in a nonthreatening way
But your words flow into me
like a river of hate
Clouding my shit judgement of
wither or not we should still date
I'd cry if I knew how
But instead I sit silent
unable to make a single empathetic sound
