Vol.1 Ch6: Awakening?

It's been 4 years since my rebirth. I am now 4 years old and am currently running wild in my backyard.

It's been fun being a kid again. This time I can do lots of things I never did. Even though we are running short with money. We always find a way to have fun.

Just last week I've been secretly visiting the Library, just like the original Kei. I've been reading as much as I can, trying to get the grasp of things from inside and outside our borders.

Ever Since the assassination of Saintess Rose demons have been attacking a little here and there. But nothing too serious.

I'm playing in the backyard just minding my own business when all of a sudden a sharp pain shot through my body. The sudden pain caused me to scream, falling to the floor and curled up in a ball, hugging my body as best as I could.

"Darling? What's wrong!" My mother shouted. Everyone was running my way and screaming frantically.

Mother falling was the last thing I saw before blacking out.

No ones (P.O.V)

Kei laid there unconscious as his body radiated a glow. Slowly, a beam started shooting up to the sky from his body, going over and beyond the clouds above.

As the ray of light shoots high into the air. People couldn't help but stare in awe.

"What is that?"

"So beautiful!"

"How lovely!"

"Such a beam.."

"Wow..."

The royals who were watching in amazement couldn't help but want to find the source.

"Find whoever did that!" The King demanded, watching the beam slowly disappear. Guards immediately began the search and ran wild in the city, heading towards the direction they saw the light at.

Back to Kei's family, they were looking at their only son with amazement and shock in their eyes.

"Little bro?"

"Such power..."

"Dear god.."

"Holy shit..."

"Don't say that!" The mother said, smacking the eldest on the head.

"Ouch! Sorry, sorry!" Kohaku wailed.

"Let's take him inside and get him treated. We need to have a serious talk with him.." The father exclaimed, picking his son up and walking towards the house, the wife and two daughters following behind him.

KEI (P.O.V)

Opening my eyes, I looked around to see that I was in my room.

What happened? How did I end up here? Is my family alright?

"Kei!" A familiar voice shouted

Looking up I was pulled into a tight hug.

"Mother? What happened? Are you alright? What's wrong?"

" Baby, calm down, you were out for at least a week. Everyone is alright but..." She trail of at the end.

"But...?"

"You awakened, Kei. You got your powers, and the guards are looking for you right now. " Mother said, tightening the hug, tears trickling cheek her  cheeks.

'Awaken? Powers? The original Kei didn't have powers! What's happening?
