Chapter 13

"oh my god..."

A place just came to mind

The cliff me and Becky went to when we had a fight!

Oh god I hope she didn't do anything stupid

You're probably confused 

Well, there's a cliff right out of town that me and Becky found

We always use to go there last year because we thought it was cool until we got into a fight

Because of me, I was so jealous that she was with a boy.

That's time time I didn't know I was in love with her..

Well that explains why I was go jealous when she's with boys.

I got out my phone and texted the crew

Me: THE CLIFF! NOW!

I quickly put that down and sent it

I know. No texting and driving but right now, I really don't care.

My speed limit is now 50 mph

I felt my cheeks become wet

Tears.

What if she jumps?

I don't know if i could live anymore

I saw it in sight

My speed fasten but then slowed down on the entry

There she was.

Standing on the edge of the cliff, looking down

I got out of my car and yelled to her

"BECKY! PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!" I yelled and continued

"PLEASE DON'T DO IT!! IT WAS A MISTAKE!!" 

"DON'T YOU DARE COME NEAR ME AUSTIN OR ELSE I'LL JUMP!" She yelled back

I stopped right when she said that

I can't believe I'm the reason she's doing this

And that stupid mistake the nurse did.

"How do I know it's a mistake? I can't even trust you!"

"Becky.. please don't do this." I begged

She shook her head 

"Austin, you've hurt me so much. Just leave me alone!"

Right at that moment, the crew came

"Becky! Please get away from the cliff!" someone yelled

It was Mickey

"You're better than this! Please don't jump!" Ari yelled in tears

"What's the point of living if I keep getting hurt over and over again?"

She looked at me

Guilt struck in me

"I'm sorry" I whispered

"Just read my letter." She told pointing to a rock and continued

"I'm sorry I'm doing this. Goodbye."

She turned around

"NOOOO!!!!" I yelled

I ran after her

But She jumped.....

But luckily, I caught her hand right before she fell completely.

She's dangling down the cliff with my one hand holding her up

"AUSTIN! JUST LET ME GO!" She yelled sobbing

"NO! I LOVE YOU SO BECKY! SOMEONE HELP ME FOR GODS SAKE!"

The crew came and helped me

"NO NO NO! Please just let me go!!" She kept sobbing

But we kept pulling her up

She's really light

I can't believe I made her do this

I almost lost the love of my life

It's all my fault.

Finally, we pulled her up

All of us in tears

Her body started shaking like crazy

I went to her and hugged her tight

"Calm down Becky. I love you"

"Y-you're the reason I did this! G-Get away from me!"

"Austin, leave her and make Alex take her. Come here." Mickey told

I didn't want to, but I let her go.

Alex put her in his arms and carried her to the car

"What Mickey?"

She gave me her phone and a necklace

It looked familiar.

Then I recognized it.

It's the necklace I gave her for her  15th birthday.

When we promised never to take it out.

I touched my neck

I broke my promise...

But she kept hers for so long..

Until today..

A tear came out

"The necklace.."

"Read the letter, Austin" Mickey ordered

She handed me the phone

I took it and started reading

But when it got to my part, my heart broke.

(A/N Here's Austin's part the letter if you forgot) 

And Austin, if you're reading this, I just wanna tell you something.
Thank you for all the amazing memories we made. I'll never forget you.
I'll never forget all the memories we made. Good and bad. When we
had our first kiss together, you singing 'I'll be' to me when we were 14.
When we fist became a couple and you sung One Less Lonely Girl to me.
But you're the reason I'm doing this. I guess you never really got over
Taylor. I hope you, Taylor, and your baby girl have a wonderful
time. I'll be watching over you. You've caused me too much pain Austin.
You'll always be the only person I love. I love you.  You were my best friend,
my boyfriend, my lover, and my life. I'll always love you and will never forget you.

I kept reading it and reading it

But you're the reason I'm doing this.

That part made me tear up

I handed Mickey the phone and walked to the car

She'll never forgive me

Now's the perfect time for our date

Maybe our last date...

Because after today, nothing will be the same....
