We both rode to the office while discussing the meeting.
We reached the office and entered, everyone was looking at us with a suspicious gaze. I ignored them because I know they can't dare to say a word in front of me but I can feel Aaron's uncomfortable state.
Everyone greeted me on the way. Mr.Brooks came and greeted me and congratulated us too.
"Mr.Brooks, please tell the staff to be in a meeting room in 15 minutes. I want all of them to be present there"
"Ok ma'am" and left
"Mr.Miller follow me to the cabin"
"Ok ma'am" we both entered my cabin
"Are you ready?" I asked him
He nodded hesitantly
"Mr.Miller do you want to do this job without facing any problems?" He nodded immediately
"Then prepare yourself for it or else the people around you won't let you do this job peacefully and learn to stand for yourself or else others will crush you" he looked at me and nodded with determination
I nodded too, I smile inwardly
"Let's go!"
"Yes ma'am"
We went to the meeting room, everyone was sitting while gossiping about the marriage
"Good morning ma'am" everyone greeted me while standing
I just nodded
"Please have a seat" they sat while saying thank you
"I'll directly come to the point for which you all are gathered here." They all just looked at me
"I want all of you to meet my husband and I want all of you to give him respect the same way as you all treat me. "
They nodded
"Meet my husband, Aaron, Aaron Miller" Aaron came and stood beside me
Everyone give a hesitant look, Aaron looked at me, I gave him a nod
"Hello everyone, I know you all must be shocked after the revelation but I want to request you all to please don't treat me differently. I'm an employee in this company just like you so please treat me like your colleague. I don't want to be treated differently please"
They all nodded and congratulated us but I can still see the way they are looking at us.
"Ok Mr.Miller, recheck all the arrangements for meeting now."
"Sure ma'am" and left
"Listen everyone because I'm telling for the first and last time. Aaron is my husband, Disrespecting him means disrespecting me. He has equal rights in this company and he is my equal too. One word against him and you will face my wrath. Treat him as your equal as he said but, keep in mind that he is the owner of this company too. I won't tolerate any word against him. Understand?" I said coldly to everyone in the room
Aaron is my husband means he is my family, means he is mine. Anything or anyone who is mine will be protected by me. I won't let them get hurt.
"I said understand?" I raised my voice
"Understood," they all said.
"Good, now all go back to your work and remember my warning"
