" Mimi, child, come down for dinner "
I heard my dad yell from downstairs.

Before I could reply, the door to my room opened and Mumma walked in with a few snacks.

" Thank you, Mumma. Can you please tell dad that I won't be able to have dinner right now, because I have to complete this. "
I told her.

" I know. I already told him that. Here are some snacks for you to graze on. "
She said with a smirk.

" Thanks, Mumma. "
I replied sarcastically.

She laughed and said
" Ok. But you can also complete this after having dinner, you know. "

I looked at her and cringed
" I'm studying infectious diseases. "

She pursed her lips and gave a curt nod
" Got it. "

I nodded in understanding too.

" Anyway, try to complete it fast, but if you didn't complete it in about two hours, like around ten p.m., please leave it for tomorrow and eat dinner. Okay? "
She said

I gave a curt nod
" Yes Mumma. "

" Okay "
She said and left after giving my head a few pats.

" Okay Ana, come on, get it over with. "
I motivated myself.

I tuned everything out and worked as fast as I could.....
And luckily....
It paid off.

I completed my assignments around nine o clock.

I closed the journal and stretched for the longest time possible.

I decided to go for dinner in about fifteen to twenty minutes.

I sat on my bed and looked at the ceiling.

Within minutes of me sitting around, my thoughts shifted toward 𝑴𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒂𝒏𝒔.

Not like he isn't on my mind, every second of my day.
He is.
He always will be.

But I try keeping myself busy, so at least I get some moments of break from this constant ache in my heart.

I got up and walked toward the 'memory wall', like I do almost everyday, and caressed his pictures.

" I miss you Haans.
Do you not miss me at all? "
I asked him

If I didn't know better, I would think he didn't miss me.
But that's not the case.
