"what did you say?" hyunjin asked, making sure he had heard the boy correctly. however, felix must've thought he had meant it as if he were saying 'what the fuck did you just say to me?' as he had taken in a sharp breath.

hyunjin once again grabbed ahold of his hands as soon as he saw a look of terror cross his face. "you're being serious? i-if you're not this isn't a very funny joke."

"i'm 100% serious," felix said, suddenly stoic. hyunjin swallowed thickly but didn't release felix's hands. he couldn't help the smile that had started to grow on his face, letting his head fall onto the table in between his arms.

"are you laughing?" felix asked, but hyunjin could hear the little kick in his tone of voice as well. felix pulled his hands back once again and crossed his arms over his chest, staring at hyunjin with a pout and narrowed eyes.

"you could just reject me, but don't lau—."

"shh." hyunjin placed his finger in front of his lips, telling felix to be quiet. felix stopped talking almost immediately and raised an eyebrow, watching as hyunjin stood up and walked over to where he sat. felix continued to watch him, keeping a close eye.

suddenly, he was pulled out of his seat with a yelp before a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, hyunjin's head digging into his chin. felix was still for a moment, not really knowing what to do as it had happened so fast.

after a few seconds of shock, hyunjin started to pull away, only to be pulled right back in by felix — who wrapped his arms underneath hyunjin's armpits, gripping onto his shoulders as he dug his head into the crook of his neck.

hyunjin hadn't realized that felix had let the tears lining his eyes finally escape until he heard the boy sniffle. hyunjin made sure to keep his hold on the boy, making sure he knew that he wasn't disappointed, he wasn't mad, and he wasn't disgusted.

felix could feel his comforting aura and couldn't help but smile. but, he still hadn't said anything about it.

"hyunjin." the two didn't dare pull away from each other, disregarding the stares that they were receiving. but from the feel of it, they weren't judging. "hold on, lix. let's get out of here." hyunjin grabbed ahold of his hand, grabbing the bag that felix had left by his feet before he started to pull felix out of the café.

"where are we going?" felix was beginning to feel nervous again. he didn't know what hyunjin's answer was going to be at this point. his hopes had started to rise when hyunjin had hugged him, but now he didn't know.

hyunjin didn't answer him and pulled him beside the café. hyunjin honestly just wanted more privacy if he was going to confess to the boy he had liked for the longest time.

"hyu—."

"sorry. i just wanted a more private conversation." felix nodded slowly and pressed his lips in a thin line. he looked down and started to pull at the skin around his knuckles, shuffling from side to side. "felix." no answer. however, he had heard felix's breath hitch.

"felix. please look at me." felix looked up painfully slow, his eyes glossy and the area around them was red and puffy. hyunjin reached forward to grab his hands yet again. "felix." felix hummed in acknowledgment, biting down on his lip, almost like he was preparing himself for disappointment.

"i like you, too." felix felt as if there was a weight being lifted off of his shoulder. he wanted to cry. he wanted to fall to his knees and just cry until he couldn't anymore. he had no clue why he was feeling like that, but he was.

felix let out a sigh of relief and basically collapsed onto hyunjin, wrapping his arms around him again. hyunjin wasted no time reciprocating the action, placing his chin on the top of his head, placing a gentle hand on the back of his head. felix's lip quivered and he quickly wiped his tears away before they could fall.

"you have no clue how relieved i am." hyunjin laughed a little and ran his hand down his back. "i think i might. i was freaking out." felix shivered when he felt his fingers run along his spine.

the blue sky was ever so slightly peeking out from the horizon at this point. the sky was now a beautiful array of pinks and oranges. it was fitting for the moment. the two of them didn't want to let go of the other, ever. they felt so comforted at that moment that they didn't want to move.

no words were shared between the two, only the breathing of the other was heard. that was until hyunjin slowly pulled away, gently placing both of his hands on the sides of felix's face. the two of them stared at each other with a look of fondness. hyunjin took a deep breath when he felt felix grab ahold of his hands. "can i kiss you?"

felix was a little caught off guard by the question, freezing for a moment. but a moment later, his features softened. he nodded, a small smile resting on his lips. hyunjin wasted not a second more, leaning down to place his lips on felix's.

felix's eyes slowly closed as he reached up to wrap his arms around hyunjin's neck. hyunjin's hands once again moved down his back, carefully wrapping around his waist. they pulled away almost as quickly, staring at each other once again.

felix smiled giddily, reaching up and tugging a piece of hyunjin's hair behind his ear. "you have no idea how long i've wanted to do that." hyunjin said, his voice barely above a whisper. "you and me both." felix said as a reply.

hyunjin chuckled lightly, leaning his head into felix's hand. they looked at each other for a moment more before it was almost like there was a silent agreement between the two. simultaneously, they leaned in once again, pressing their lips together.

this time, it wasn't as quick and it wasn't as soft. this one was needy. it was a long-awaited moment for the two and they would be damned if they didn't get the best of it. they took breaths in between kisses, hands tangling in the hair of the other. and as much as felix wanted to continue kissing hyunjin, they were in the middle of town. he knew how people felt about PDA.

he got one last kiss in and pulled away, smiling as hyunjin seemed to chase after him, a frown on his face when he realized felix had actually pulled away from him. felix leaned forward and rested his forehead against his, combing his hand through his hair.

"felix." felix hummed, his eyes closed, but he was listening to him very clearly. in fact, his full attention was brought to him and only him. "would you like to be my boyfriend?"

felix laughed a little loudly, covering his mouth quickly. he shoved hyunjin back a little but they remained close because hyunjin still had his arms wrapped around him. "of course i will, dumbass." hyunjin gasped and placed a hand over his heart, a frown on his face as he turned his nose up and looked away. "you wound me."

"mmhmm, i'm sure i do." felix smiled fondly, hugging hyunjin once again.

and there they stood, smiles on their faces as they embraced the other, nothing else even daring to cross their minds at that moment.
