Chapter Seven

"Hey kids." Sam and Dick smiled as Lily and Max jumped in their arms but Alex didn't even look at them as he just got in the car. Dick sighed as they got in the car. When they drove up in the driveway Max and Lily ran inside to tell their dads what they did at school today. Alex didn't run to Bruce when he opened his arms, instead he went straight upstairs to see if you were alright. He opened the door and saw you facing the wall. Your ankle was chained to the wall and you could only walk to the door and around the room.

"Go away." You whispered and Alex's heart broke seeing his papa like this. He made his way over to you and grabbed his things from his backpack and got on the bed. "Oh hey hon how was school?" You asked as you smiled and sat up, wincing as you did so. "Look." He said and showed you a piece of paper that Alex had got in the school play. "You auditioned? I'm so proud of you." You smiled brightly as you hugged him. He was so pleased with himself that he made you so happy. You and Alex were so caught up with his day that they didn't hear the door open.

"But they won't let you go." He said and John sighed thinking that you were attempting to escape as Damian got a needle out of his pocket. "Hey I am going to be at your play even if they have to break my bones." You said and hugged him. The boys all looked at each other and quietly left you two. It was dinner time and Lily and Max were still going on about their day. "Papa look." She said as you smiled and told her she did a great picture.

"So Alex we hear that you're in the school play." John said as Alex sighed. "I don't want any of you coming." He huffed. "What do you mean?" Bruce asked as Alex just ignored him. "We're all going and then we're gonna go out for dinner." Bruce said. You looked up and sighed before getting up and limping out the room. "Anyway, bedtime." Dick said as Dean went to find you. You was in the shower as he slid behind you and put his hands on your waist making you jump and turn around.

"What do you want?" You asked as he kissed your shoulder. "Are you excited for Alex's play in 3 weeks?" He asked. "Well I'm not going so have fun." You said and got out. "What do you mean?" He asked and pushed you on the bed making you gasp. "Because you guys won't let me." You grunted out. "Well you are going but you have three weeks for us to see." He said and you really wanted to be there for Alex.

So over the next few weeks you did as you were told and they were really proud of you. "He is doing really well." Sam whispered as he smiled at his son. You ignored him as you focused on your son. The play ended and Jason held his arms out but he ran straight to you. "I'm so proud of you." You said to your son. He smiled as you were all eating at a restaurant.

Jason put his hand on your thigh but you didn't do anything, not wanting to cause a scene. You and Alex along with Lily and Max were fast asleep as Bruce drove home. Cas picked you up while Dean and Tim picked up Lily and Max along with Alex and took them to bed. You woke and rubbed your eyes. "MMmmm you gonna help beautiful?"

Dean smirked as you rolled your eyes and rolled over onto your stomach and fell back asleep. You were cleaning to keep yourself occupied while the overs were out on patrol. Cas appeared and you jumped as he stood in front of you. "Can I help you?" You asked and he helped you up. "I want to take you out." He said and gently grabbed your hand and got in one of the cars and drove off. He drove out of Gotham and this made you think. "Don't worry." He said.

Wait. They would never take you out of Gotham? You looked at 'Cas' and he turned into someone else. "The names Corey and I'm gonna help ya." He said as he drove faster. "Hey wait, my kids." You remembered and looked out the window to see Gotham in the distance. Getting smaller and smaller. "I never even got to say goodbye." You mumbled as you felt tears in your eyes...
