A/N: hello readers this is my 2nd book. I am trying my best to improve so please do give suggestions and encouragement. Happy Reading!

The music was too loud and Gulf was too wasted. Skimpily clad girl was sitting on Gulfs lap trying to get intimate with him
Gulf did not mind at all. He loved the attention she was giving him.

He did not know her. He was seeing her for the first time or may be not. They might have crossed paths before, spent nights with each other. He was always too drunk to notice who he slept with.

She pressed her lips on his and he welcomed her gladly. Why should he mind. He's not married anymore. He loved someone so dearly once but he left him alone in this world. He wanted someone's attention so bad but he was so disgusted with Gulf. He did not do wrong by anyone but he had suffered so much. He was done feeling pity for himself. He did not want to look back in life.

"Hey! Why are you all over him. Come here" tall, muscular man yanked the girl off of Gulf.
"you bitch! you said you liked me"
" I don't now. I just like him more" the Girl shrugged pointing towards Gulf.

Gulf was aloof to all the commotion. He was high already but not as much as he would like to be. Not as much as he wanted to be. He wants to forget everything. He has been trying to do that for four years now. Being sober and unoccupied brings back all the memories, all the pain. All this racket and chaos is making him sober. He needs more alcohol. He got up to do exactly that. He wants to go over to the bar.

" where do you think you are going?"
The tall muscular and not so handsome man punched Gulf hard on his cheeks.

"You bastard!" Gulf cursed struggling to get up.
He held Gulf by his collar and pulled him up to punch him again but Gulf dodged this time and punched back
"You asshole! How dare you touch my girl " the man does not seem to back out. He is underestimating Gulf. Gulf tried his best not to hurt him too bad. Not that Gulf liked the guy or Gulf is kind and generous but only because Gulf did not want any problems in the aftermath.

"Because you can't take fucking care of your girl, you jerk" Gulf tried to put him in place. Even though Gulf was drunk, he was still able to dodge most of the man's punches and kicks and even successfully land some punches on him.

Soon the bouncers gathered to separate them and took them away to a private office.

"How dare you do this in my pub" the manager confronted them.
Much to his dislike, Gulf was now sober. The alcohol seemed to have evaporated from his system.

" I will pay for the damages" Gulf said rather calmly. He did not want to risk being identified by anyone.

" you think you are some big shot?" The other man was offended.
" hey man, I did not call your girl. She came on to me" Gulf retorted with a frown, trying to put some sense into this man.
"Stop it both of you else I will have to report you to the police" the manager warned.

Just then someone entered the cabin
"What's all the ruckus about?" He asked authoritatively to the manager.

" Boss!" Manager was surprised to see the owner of the pub. It's rare that he makes an appearance at this pub. Generally his assistant would visit once in a while to look at the performance. He immediately got up from his seat and offered it to his Boss.

Gulf, however was frozen in his place. He could not move. He heard that voice after such a long time. His heart was pounding. He had to look at the owner of the voice to make sure. Is he hallucinating or is it him. Gulf gathered all his strength to look at this person. This so called 'Boss'

'It's him'

His Mew!

Does he still have the right to call him 'his'. Gulf stared at the person in front of him. Eyes already glistening. He could not breathe.

Mew stopped in his track as soon as his eyes landed on Gulf. He too froze but only for a second. He continued to his seat. Eyes not leaving Gulf's.

Both of them yearningly looking at each other. Memories flooding their minds. Their eyes had conflicting emotions.

Gulf did not understand this feeling inside. Is he happy to see him or is he angry. Does he want to hug him or hit him. Does he want to talk to him or just walk away.

Then again, Mew was internally struggling too. Was he happy to see him or was he angry that he left. Is he relieved to see him safe and sound or does he want to break his leg so that he never ever leaves him again. Does he want to talk to him and clear all the misunderstandings or just forget everything and start anew.

"These two were fighting over a girl" the manager broke the silence

"Over a girl?" Mew questioned without shifting his gaze from Gulf. 'Does he like girls now?' Mew thought.

"She came onto me. I have nothing to do with her" Gulf defended himself, eyes still on Mew. But why is he giving explanation. Not that it mattered. He has to compose himself. He can't lose his shit now.

"You bastard" the other man who was about to punch Gulf, was suddenly startled by a loud bang on the table.

"Don't you dare touch him."Mew growled, his eyes piercing into the man.
"I will chop that hand off if it even touches a strand of hair on his body" Mew threatened him in a dangerously low voice. His eyes now red with anger. Glaring at the man who is thinking about hurting Gulf. His Gulf. How dare he!

The man shivered with fear. The manager and the other staff too were shaking. All, except Gulf.
Gulf was now feeling sorry for this guy. To be at the receiving end of Mew's anger was hell. Gulf knew it only too well. Some things never change. Gulf knew he had to calm Mew down else this ugly guy won't live for too long.

"Are we done here?" Gulf gathered Mew's attention back to him.
"I have somewhere to be" he said in a passive tone.

Gulf's voice calmed Mew down a little. Mew continued "take him away from me else I won't guarantee his safety"

The bouncers immediately pulled the other guy out of the room.
" I am leaving too" Gulf said nonchalantly

"Where do you think you are going?" Mew raised his voice.

"Home. You can charge me the damages." Gulf turned towards the door to leave.

"Is this how you greet your husband?" Mew said with a straight face, hands folded on his chest.
The manager was stunned at this revelation.

"Ex-Husband", Gulf said over his shoulders and left without sparing another glance at Mew.
