“Healing doesn't mean forgetting”

Mishka stared at the stage, the same stage she had graced many times, the same stage she had abandoned long ago, the same stage that still haunts her. But not anymore, she's nervous?

Yes, but not scared. There's no fear creeping inside her, maybe because she has an assurance that if she stumbles, Kairav will be there to catch her before she falls.

Mishka watched Sonakshi touching the first stair of the stage as respect and blessing. She looked down at the same place, slowly bending down, touching the first stair then touching her forehead.

She doesn't know why she did that. She doesn't believe in blessing anymore, she believes in work and the outcome.

Blessings are a facade for her.

Nonetheless, the environment around her is changing her and she knows it well.

Mishka took a deep breath, finally stepping over the stage, something she used to worship by her whole heart but it was brutally snatched from her. She takes a moment for herself, looking around, trying to believe that if she is living a dream or is she really in reality, her own reality.

Sonakshi shows her thumbs up before positioning herself in her place as the lights are off, no one can see them.

Mishka looks around at the close curtains, like she can see past through it. She feels a sudden tingling sensation, warm and homely, spreading across her chest as if she can feel Kairav, him waiting there, ready to cheer up for her.

A satisfied smile spread across her lips. She quickly took her position, looking down at her feet, her eyes fixed over the scar that was hidden behind ghungroo.

She brushed off the sudden negative feeling that was saying hello to her, she pulled up her new found confident face the moment the curtain started opening.

Mishka desperately looked around in the audience, trying to catch the ray of hope of her life and then there she did. Her dark forest green orbs collide directly with warm chocolate ones. Kairav throws a very cheerful smile towards her, showing her the thumbs up mouthing 'good luck'.

And there, she knew that she will be never alone in the journey of her life where thorns were poking her feet and he came as soft petals to soothe the pain.

The classical music started, 'dheem tara de' started in the background, causing them to tap their feet. The jugalbandi dance theme allows one to dance one component at once while the other will stand at the position. Mishka blends herself perfectly, moving her shataka and katoaka- vardhan pose rhythmically to the beats of her ghungroo, twirling and turning around with lip-sing the lyrics with the huge smile on her face, as her steps came to end, she throws her right stand straight towards Sonakshi, indicating her to take the lead.
