I woke up with a shriek, when I looked at the clock it was 10 minutes to 8. I rubbed my face as I sighed.
"What happened?" A frantic Hunter came in my room. Iblooked up to see his hairs ruffled, he was in his black sweats minus the shirt. I woke him up!
"Nothing... just a bad dream" I said as I looked down in my lap, feeling bad for waking him up. I felt him coming towards me and sitting on the bed in front of me. He held my hand as he ran his thumb over the back of it gently.
"You alright?" He asked, I looked up at his concerned face.
"Yes I am" I said mustering up a small smile. I just had this nagging feeling at the back of my mind telling me that something bad is going to happen.
"Okay, get up. You have a class in an hour" he told me and I nodded. He placed a kiss on my forhead and went out leaving me behind.
I force myself to stand and get ready for the day. Even after taking a long relaxing bath I wasn't fine. I was still gloomy as I make my way out with my bag and my phone. I passed the kitchen and went straight to the door.
"Where are you going?" A stern voice said from behind, I closed my eyes for a moment. Then I turn towards him, he was standing behind, few steps away from me with his arms crossed.
"I am not hungry!" I said knowing what he will ask next.
"Breakfast is ready, it will go to waste if you won't have any" he chided and I almost roll my eyes but then walked towards the kitchen where the chef lady set the plate of breakfast for me as hunter only takes black coffee in the morning. I greeted her and sat on the stool as I start eating. After emptying half of the plate I stood up and turn to go out but bumped into Hunter who was frowning at me.
"What's bothering you,?" He asked.
"Nothing!" I told him but he didn't buy it.
"Alara!" He said my name with such seriousness that I couldn't help but open my mouth and sputter whatever I was feeling.
"I don't know what is wrong with me but I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen or ...I don't know. I just hope nothing of any sort happen!" I said as I looked up at his face.
"Kitten, nothing will happen. Don't worry!" He reassured me and embraced me. I breathed in his scent which comforted me to an extent.
"Let's go!" He said as he took my hand. We walked out of the building, he went to get his bike when I stopped him.
"Can we walk to University?" I asked, he nodded. He grabbed my hand again as we walked to my University. The walk does help with clearing my mind. I felt a lot better when I reached the University gate.
"See you!" I told him and he nodded. He was closely studying my face.
"I am fine now, I promise!" I reassured, at which he exhaled heavily.
"If anything happens call me" he said and then I bid goodbye as we went on our ways.
The whole day spent with me busy in my classes, I hardly had time for lunch. When I walked out of the door, Hunter was already waiting for me by his bike. I smiled at the sight, he was busy on his phone. But when I was close to him, he was frowning. He looked worried...
"Hey!" I said when I was close. He looked up and his frown vanish for a moment.
"We have to go" he said as he motion me to sit on the bike. I was confused at his behavior. He looked stressed over something.
"What happened?" I asked. He glance my way briefly.
"I will tell you once we reach there!" He said. I didn't way anything else and sat behind him.
We weren't going to the penthouse but somewhere else. I wanted to ask so many questions but thought better of it. He was tensed and it made me worried. He stopped the bike infront of the hospital.
"Why... why are we here?" I asked. He looked at me with blank face but his eyes gives away his inner turmoil.
"H..hunter what is it?" I asked.
"Alara... princess just relax everything is going to be fine. Just don't..." He paused as he ran hid hand in his hairs.
"F*ck!" He muttered under his breath.
"Hunter!" I asked once again my voice wavering. He took my hand and pull me inside the hospital. My heart was beating rapidly and I am sure I look pale.
We entered a hallway on the east wing which lead to the ICU. My steps faltered as I took in the sight of a familiar figure hunched on the seat in the waiting area. He has his head in his hands, he looked tired.
"Kay...!" I whispered out, but he heard it because the next moment he looked up as his gaze met mine. He had tears in his eyes and when he saw me he stood and walked towards me. The next moment he pull me in his arms as he placed his head on my shoulder. I could feel his tears on my shirt.
"Wh..what is .. it?" I stuttered out too afraid to hear.
"Muffin ... it's Noah... he ... got in an accident and they are saying... oh God... I don't want to loose an other family member" he told me and I stopped breathing.
"No... no... he was okay... last night I... I met him.. he was fine... and oh God... now I know why I was having those feelings since morning" I was crying at this point.
"Nothing can happen to him... please!" I cried out and I heard Caleb and Hunter's voice in the background as they were telling me to breath but I couldn't. Then after few moments I saw black dots infront of me and then I was out.
