彡Putting on his apron, Beomgyu walked back inside the staff room to place his phone back inside his bag. His day revolved around standing behind the counter, refilling cups of drinks, and scooping up fries to serve. Sometimes, he would even clean the tables or mop the floor if the days had gone busier.
Beomgyu has been working at this McDonald's place for almost two years now, earning enough money to not starve himself and to have a roof over his head. His two friends, Hueningkai and Soobin would sometimes help him in days of need, bringing him lunch and dinner to his shabby apartment, and also giving him the company that he needs.
His parents would pay for his tuition fees but that's it.
He had this deal with them where once he graduates and if he passed the board exam, they would never bother his life again. They would forget about him. Forget their son. And he is very much determined to accomplish that.
He doesn't want to go back. He will never go back. That's what he promised himself. And the task of forgetting his parents was long accomplished by him ever since that day.
Beomgyu's been working for almost 6 hours, his eyes were getting heavy along with his body to keep moving. And once his shift was done, he bid farewell to his co-workers who praised him for his hard work and left.
Putting on one string of his backpack on his shoulder, he began walking back home since he didn't get to bring his bike to work because he used the bus to meet up with Faye earlier. He had his head hung low as he walked, both hands inside the pockets of his sweatshirt with the street lights guiding his way back.
But Beomgyu's feet stopped moving when he saw a convenience store on his right.
Sighing, he opened the glass door and stepped inside. Picking out his dinner at 10 in the evening.
