When the jealous pharaoh Hathset discovers a member of his harem conducting an illicit affair with a scribe he places a curse on them. Little does he know this act will not only impact their destinies but ultimately that of the world's.

Now Hathset Egypt's king did know The favor queen on scribe bestowed And jealous grew her love to see Was grant to scribe and not to he.
So pharaoh waited long and stayed To catch his queen he's sure had strayed When Khufu brought again report Unto the queen's own royal court.
And when the man did come as tasked The guards his arms did quickly grasp And brought the scribe to court to stand On trial before the whole of land.
And Chay did come his case to plea And mercy ask from kings decree. Before the court she scheme did claim And said he only acts as deigned
By queen to all her letters fetch From kin as task that queen begets But Hathset hears no pleas that day And only deadly order bays
That queen would end now Khufu's life Or give her own for sake of strife. But Chay can't do as king had deigned For guilt the queen herself had claimed
And loved the scribe to much to give The thing the king himself did bid. So Hathset deigned them both to die In deaths embrace to surely lie
But angered more than mortal man Did stretch himself beyond this plan. Into the eldritch powers strayed The king who surely won this day.
"I see" he said "your souls entwined For every age and all of time But curse I lay on all your lives With strength no mortal man can via
That early death shall always come Wherever souls together thrum So both shall surely know my scorn Throughout the lives you'll be reborn."
And pair were put to death that day Not even grant a tomb or grave. But lions' maw the final place The loving pair are deemed to grace.
Inside the pit the princess kneeled Her lover's form to try and shield...
