Her vampish pose she shifts with ease
To tell a tale the bride to tease
No comfort thing would soon impart
Perhaps a fact she knew at heart

And merely wished to torment bride
As only toy she had to bide
The time and feeling woman owned
The dame on which her claws she honed.

Or maybe mind of woman gone
Did true recall this tale as fond
And stands as proof the femme fatale
Was warped by years she spent on prowl

But either way the tale was told
And omen sent by nature's bode
No magic made the heart forbode
As things she spoke did now unfold

Instead a grounded sense of dread
That person all your host now led
Did grant themselves to things this strange
The topics which her tale did range.

"My father also many men
To marriage bands my hand did lend
Not gave to tie himself to lord
But rather use my charms as sword.

And many husbands overthrown
By deadly arts for years I honed
Along with charm evoking lust
That made those men to foolish trust

Flirtatious smiles I trained yet hard

And every night he upward rose
For secret purpose out to go.
And night on night when lord returned
I used my charms his trust to earn

To learn where princeling went those eves
He fled my bed and sight did leave
And finally just as all before
Seducing gave the fruit of chore

He told me plan the prince had made
To put my father down in grave
Retainers man had gone to meet
Those night's who served my father's reach

And made a plan to overthrow
The lord who daughter didst bestow
To undermine such thing as this
By dint of charms and force of kiss.

I waited well until he slept
And up from bed I gentle crept
And took my hawk with message wrote
That told of plan my husband smote.

And back to bed I thusly went
And rest of night in sleep I spent.
Then after many days did come
The news a purge had just begun

Inside my fathers court those days
And many liege he deemed betrayed
His trust he killed for sake of plan
I learned through weakness gave to man.

And teasing lord I'm gave to wed
Of all his allies father bled
Perhaps flirtatious still at time
Though hour grew his death was nye

Surprised I stood that day beheld
To see a smile on face now dwelled
Of man whose trust I just betrayed
He laughed aloud and coarsely brayed.

"You fool" he said "I never met
Those men your father claims abet
A plan I never made at all
Instead exploiting fatal flaw

I've tricked your father forth at end
To slay his trusted warring men..."

I laughed a laugh that only one
Who found the art of murder fun
Could ever laugh, affection grew
And love on Oda dame bestew.

At last he won through cunning mind
Like own I thought I'd never find
This man alone as pride did heed
Did flirt with danger, danger's me!"

Then gave that woman girlish laugh
That strangely spoke of mud'rous wrath.

"So fear not bride if even dame
Some love through marriage vows did claim
When just as thou to many men
As wife my kin did deem me send

And even lower thus than thou
Was sent those men to slay and cow
Then surely chance you own as well
To find a home where love will dwell."

No comfort Oichi took from words
Of tale that mind did well disturb
Instead her troubles thing compounds
At 'nother source of problems found.
