VALERIA SITS ON HER bed with four letters in her hands. there was a ring at the doorbell, and when valeria opened the door, she found four letters that happen to be addressed to her.
they're labeled 1-4, which valeria assumes means the order to read them in. she picks up the envelope labeled 'one' and opens it.
she finds a rusty folded paper and she smiles when she sees a sloppy form of the word 'chris' signed on it. the handwriting looks different and more sloppy then how he writes now, so her eyebrows furrow.
she wonders if this is a setup; if gigi actually wrote this. she wants to pull out her phone and ask chris if these are really from him, but she figures that would ruin it.
so, hesitantly, she opens the folded up paper.

i'm writing this on january 1st, 2020. your definitely very confused right now because your gonna be a senior when i give this to you (isn't that crazy!) but matt and nick gave me idea to write you a letter every new year so that's what i'm doing. they wanna see how my feelings "change" but i don't think my feelings toward you can ever change!
