Chapter 4: Party People

I woke up to the smell of bacon and pots and pans being stirred in the kitchen. Josh was still asleep and I slipped on my basketball shorts and walked into the kitchen.

"Heyyy baby, food is almost done. Is Josh up?" asked Ms. Williams.

"No ma'am, he's still asleep." I said.

"It's so good to have you over Alex, you know you are like my second son and I'm so proud of my boys." "Yall are going to be seniors next year and going off to college!" "I remember the middle school days when you and Josh would play for hours outside and play that game."

"Yeah time has flown for sure." I said. "Thanks Ms. Williams for all you do, I appreciate you for always welcoming me into your home."

"Oh boy hush up, you family."

"Damn it smells good in here." Josh said.

"Well look who decided to get up!" Ms. Williams.

One thing about being on this side of town is that you get a sense of family and deep community. Everyone is cool and very welcoming here. Even Ms. Williams' neighbors are dope. This isn't the best part of town and it's at least 45 minutes to an hour away from my house but I love being over here and amongst their family. We all gathered around the kitchen table and ate a really big breakfast and shared a few laughs.

"Alex, come here real quick." said Josh.

"What's up bro, what you got?"

"I got some condoms tonight for us just in case some shit goes down." "You gotta stay ready my boy." Josh said.

"Umm I don't know about that Josh. You know I'm a virgin and I'm sure as hell not doing anything at Melissa's house.

"My boy it's time to get your dick wet, just take them and keep a couple of them in your pocket just in case."

Yeah I plan on getting my dick wet but I don't know if I want to get it wet by any of those girls at the party. I couldn't keep my mind off Coach Jay and have been thinking about him even more these days. Especially Friday, when he hugged me as tight as he did.

The night was approaching and Josh and I started getting dressed and his sister Jarissa was just as excited to drop us off at the party. She knows all about Melissa and how rich her parents are. She was excited to see the house. Jarissa wasn't going to stay but made sure she dropped us off at the front entrance. Melissa's house is literally like a fucking compound, she has a massive estate with maids and groundkeeper to keep the house up. They were gone of course and it was just Melissa and her many friends that were there. The pool was lit up in the back and there were so many people there. I mean the place was lit!

"YOOOO, this motherfucker is jumping!" Said Josh.

"Aye, behave yourself bro and don't get lost. This place is huge." I said.

"Man you don't have to worry about me, I'm going to find you a bad bitch and help you get your dick wet tonight!" "You need it!" Josh said.

"I don't need anything but to have a good time and chill." I stated.

Josh made his way to the main part of the house and after that I didn't see him for a while. I ran into a few of my friends from Overton and we chatted for a bit. I will say there were a lot of pretty girls there and equally fine boys too! Most of the basketball team, football team, and baseball teams were there. If there's a party to be at, this is it.

The DJ started to spin a few records and played Drake. If anyone knows me, knows that I love Drake. That's mostly who I listen to. During track season, I had his records on repeat.
