"Do you know how shocked I am right now?" Mitsuya exasperated to the purple haired man standing in front him. Silver eyes can see that Ran was avoiding his gaze like a guilty little bitch.

Mitsuya was beyond shock, furious, and most importantly disbelief.

He thought Ran was living such a lavish and happy life without Y/n by his side but then few years later he shows up with the same woman that he once loved. And the cherry on top was the child that she was carrying.

"You seem pissed," Ran wasn't trying to provoke Mitsuya in any way, and the silver-eyed male knew that but he can't help but feel his jaw clench.

"Just care to tell me what happened between the both of you?" He rubbed his eyes, a small fleeting headache forming. He squinted his eyes, a deep lump forming in his throat as he waited Ran to speak.

"Well, first of: we are married through paper, but I wanted to hold a wedding," Ran opened the small sling bag that he had, picking out a pristine white envelope before handing it to Mitsuya. "Second, the kid is from my ex-wife. But I'm hoping that Y/n will be perfect as her mother."

"Well of course she will be, the both of us know her. She was nothing short of affectionate, loving, and caring..." Mitsuya couldn't help but trail. Closing his eyes, his eyebrows crossing before shaking his head. He needs to keep in mind that she'll get married soon, he can't.

Ran looked away, already knowing where Mitsuya was coming from. "I thought you promised you'd stop...?"

"I did, don't worry. I have my eye on someone else as of right now." Silver eyes avoided lavender hues, a cough coming out of his mouth before turning around.

"Just keep to the promise you gave me back then. Don't let anything bad happen to her, and your daughter. It hurts me to see a friend like her worry and cry over a waste like you, Haitani."

"Say whatever you want, Mitsuya. She chose me in the end,"

"You're being petty, shut up."

Ran snickered, following behind Mitsuya towards where his wife and daughter would be.

"You seem rather worried there," The dressmaker chimed, taking out a measuring tape unraveling the equipment. I looked at her face: golden-auburn eyes, small face, chestnut brown hair, and wearing a loose dress shirt with a skirt.

"Do I? I guess I just can't help it..." I grasped my bicep, my teeth biting my lip as I glanced towards the door I took. I know Mitsuya has small beef with Ran but that was in the past and I've already fixed everything with Mitsuya.

"There's no need to be too tense, I might get the wrong measurements if you continue being like that, okay?" She reassured me. I couldn't help but smile a little bit, nodding my head.

"I'm Chiori, by the way. How about you, Ms Wife." She joked, yet I can't help but feel the small blush creep my cheeks.

"I'm Y/n, the little sweetheart over there is Reina, my daughter." I smiled. In my peripheral, I can see the expectant look on Reina's face and how it lit up when I called her my daughter.

I could feel my heart pound in my chest as I said those words. I might not be the one that allowed her to see the world, but I know that I can fulfill the role.

'Reina won't just be Ran's daughter, but also mine.' I felt her small palm hold onto me, lightly gripping my hand and snuggling her face against my leg.

I picked her up, tapping her nose with mine. Reina giggled cutely, her arms around my shoulders as she showed me her pearly teeth.

'She's our daughter,'

"Hey, sorry we took a bit." I heard Mitsuya call out from behind.

Chiori popped her head to the side, I turned mine around and saw Reina running towards Ran with her arms wide open.

I watched the scene in front of me and I couldn't help but smile at the small affectionate event. I have never seen Ran have such a calm and loving look on his face.

His eyes looked at me with so many emotions swirling. I can see fear, hesitance, giddiness, and so much more but the one that speaks the loudest was love.

'What...?' My eyes blinked. I pursed my lips.

"What's wrong?" I looked up to Ran, seeing him standing in front of me with a questioning and worried look in his eyes.

'That memory...' I shook my head, telling that it was nothing. "Just spacing out, don't worry."

I smiled.

But I can't help but think back to that memory of me and Ran. It wasn't too recent but at the same time good enough time for me to forget about it.

I remember the time that my friends and I had a reunion.

"I'm getting married soon." His words broke me.

I remember not understanding what he muttered at the end back then, yet now that I think more about it...

"I regret that it's not you who I'll marry..."

'At least, soon you'll be marrying me right...?'

I gave him a soft smile. I can see his eyes look at me with more question, his curious face making him less scary and more cute. I tiptoed, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

He looked back at me, eyes swirling with love, care and affection. His thumb caressed my cheek. I can feel them heat up as his stare held on. My lips inching into a smile under his loving gaze.

"Okay lovebirds that's enough. We still have a dress to make and measurements to take." Mitsuya chimed in, clapping his hand loudly.

"Killjoy," Ran muttered, his eye twitching as his lips formed a light pout. I couldn't help the small laugh.

"He's right. Let's continue later,"
