we pulled up to the REVEL club.
"Penda?!" someone yelled out.

"Somewhere drunk chile"
"Damn before we all got here"
"Yeah they had to start early. They leave tomorrow so they tryna turn up tonight"
"I'm gonna excuse myself"
she grabbed my wrist causing me to turn around.
"Hold a minute baby" she said as she continued talking to whoever this lady was "once everybody get here let me know so i can join y'all. i need everybody here"
"Will do. I'll text the family chat again"
"Ok. Where you was finna run off to?"

"I won't" she gave me a side eye and giggled.

"What y'all drinking tonight?"
"Tequila"
"A diet c—"
"A diet hell no. She'll take tequila as well"
"I didn't want that nasty ass drink"

she gave us the drinks and Taraji downed it like it was water.
