Emma was going stir crazy inside her house, the sun was out which meant that her family couldn't be. The only thing that took Emma's mind off of her conversation with Embry the previous day was when Angela texted her that she asked Eric to Prom and he said yes. After spending most of her day avoiding Edward so that he wouldn't read her mind and find out all her secrets, Emma finally left the room when she got an invite to go Prom dress shopping. To pass the time Emma went for a walk in the woods until close to sunset, only spending extra time to hunt for the first time in months. When she returned to the house, Emma grabbed her keys and headed out to meet up with Bella, Angela, and Jessica in Port Angeles. Emma was still not very excited about hanging out with Jessica, but she was enjoying dress shopping and getting to know Bella.

Emma had on a simple silver dress with a low v neck and a skirt flowed all the way down to her feet while Angela and Jessica had dresses of their own on. Like Emma's, the girls' dresses were form fitted and straight, but Emma's was still a little looser than Angelas. "This one makes my boobs look good." Jessica flipped her hair as she stared at her cleavage in the mirror next to Angela. Jessica's smile was knocked off her face when a group of guys walked by the window and one knocked on it, looking dead at the girls. "Nice!" yelled one of the teenagers as he nodded toward Jessica, her dress revealing the most. "Oh god." Angela wrinkled her nose in discomfort while Emma just glared at the group. "That is disgusting." Bella put her book down to see another teenager staring at her as they passed. "That, is why I'm single." Emma shook her head at the behavior of the group.

"No, your single because nobody is every good enough for you." Jessica scoffed at Emma's words, earning a glare from Emma. "That's not true, I said yes to going to Prom with Tyler yesterday." Emma revealed, shocking the three girls. After talking with Embry, Emma felt guilty sharing with everyone she had accepted Tyler's proposal less than an hour before Embry confessed his feelings. "She's right." Angela confirmed as she remembered Eric raving to her about it when he found out. "I can't believe you said yes." Bella was even shocked by Emma's confession. "Well, I can't be head of the committee and go solo." Emma played off her reasonings. "Okay, I can, but that's sad and lonely." Emma sighed as she looked at the girls, not liking the smug look on Jessica's face.

"Bella, what do you think?" Jessica then changed the subject back to her as she looked over her dress again. "That looks great." Bella looked back down at her book. "You said that about like the last 5 dresses, though." Jessica complained as she fixed her hair. "Well, I thought they were all pretty good." Bella laughed lightly, not wanting the girls to think she didn't want to be there. "You're not really into this, are you?" Angela could see right through the brunette. "I actually really just wanna go to this bookstore. I'll meet you guys at the restaurant." Bella proposed lightly, itching to separate from the girls. "You sure?" Angela worried that Bella had been scared off by Jessica. "Yeah." Bella nodded as she stood up to leave. "Okay." Emma shrugged as she let the girl walk off, not quite thinking of it.

"Wait, should we be letting her out there alone, when the sun already set?" Emma realized just how spaced out she truly was. "Too late now." Jessica shrugged as Bella had already left and was nowhere to be seen. "Right, I'm going to go change back." Emma motioned to the dressing rooms as she grabbed her phone from the windowsill.

Emma got worried when Bella never met them at the restaurant and quickly alerted Edward as she didn't want to worry Angela and Jessica even more by splitting off to search for Bella. The girls were finishing their meals and waiting on the check when Emma finally got a message that Edward found Bella. Emma let the girls know that Bella was safe and used the cover that Edward had been the reason Bella was so late. The girls exited the restaurant as Bella neared the entrance. "I thought the salad was good." Angela disagreed with Jessica as she nitpicked the restaurant's food. "Bella!" Jessica exclaimed, her attention now on the human girl as she came into sight. "Hey, guys. I'm sorry." Bella began to apologize as soon as she saw the girls. "Where were you? We were worried." Angela immediately expressed her concern for Bella, completely forgetting their previous conversation. "Yeah, we waited for you, but we were like starving." Jessica tried not to make it seem like they didn't care about the girl. "So, we-" Jessica's excuse was cut off by Edward joining Bella's side.
