As I stood in the crowd, the energy in the arena was insane. The Final Four game between Iowa and UConn was about to begin, and the anticipation was running high. I couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement, knowing how important this game was for Kate and her teammates.

Next to me stood Kate's sister, Kennedy, who was just as invested in the game as I was. We were both wearing matching team jerseys, with Kate's number on the back, ready to cheer our hearts out. As the game started, we couldn't contain our emotions. The stress was real.

"What the fuck?!" I exclaimed at the dumb fouls the refs were calling.

"You've got to be fucking kidding." Kennedy said.

Little did we know, our passionate cheering and foul language caught the attention of the security guards. Within minutes, they approached us and politely asked us to step outside the arena for a brief 30-minute break to calm down.

We couldn't help but burst into laughter at the unexpected turn of events. It was both amusing and slightly embarrassing, but we understood the need for order in such an intense game.

While we were outside, we took the opportunity to catch our breath and regain our composure. We shared stories, jokes, and even made up a few cheers of our own. The time flew by, and before we knew it, the 30 minutes were up.

We made our way back into the arena, ready to support Kate and her team once again.

As we returned to our seats, Kate looked puzzled, wondering where we had disappeared to. Kennedy and I exchanged knowing glances, trying our best to hold back our laughter.

For the rest of the game, Kennedy and I cheered louder than ever, making up for the time we had missed.

The game was intense, with both teams giving it their all. Every play had us on the edge of our seats.

The last quarter was the most nerve racking. The game was close, UConn was down 1. UConn had just received a foul on Gabbie.

Then Caitlin was fouled by Paige Bueckers. This let Caitlin shoot from the free throw line, making the first basket but missing the second.

Iowa was now up by 2. The game was extremely close and there was 1.1 seconds left.

Caitlin bounced the ball off of Paige and left 0.1 seconds remaining. The refs turned back the clock to 0.8 seconds. Caitlin passed Kate the ball and Mate threw it straight up. The buzzer blared and declared Iowa as the winners.
