it was the race day today
and i was nauseous
Iqraam was the one racing in the tracks here in Durban and i was the one feeling nauseous
I stood infront of the auditorium with the ipad and my side bag
Shumayll walked to me and gave me his famous boyish smiles
"Ready?" he asked me and i nodded
it was my first time i was going to a race and it was not so thrilling to know the one racing is someone you care about

I sighed and followed Shumayll inside
"When will Iqraam be here?" i asked him
he halted and turned to me
a grin made its way on his face
"Iqraam huh... no sir?" he winked and i blushed looking away
i was so glad for my niqab
he laughed out loud causing people to turn to us
"Okay fine... its okay- " he grinned
"Its nothing like that- its just....... i am worried about this race- about him" i muttered looking down and he chuckled

there was no teasing or hint of playfulness in his voice nor on his face
he seemed sincere
"You seem like you have loads of experience!" i said and he laughed
"Nope!" he said although his ears went red and there was slight pink on his cheeks
"Oh finally!" said Mark walking towards us
"hello Mr. Mark!" i said and he grinned at us
"Where is Mr. Ibrahim?" he asked me and i shook my head
"No idea" i replied and he chuckled
"Will make an enterance" he muttered before walking away
"Come on, we have the front line" he said as he walked ahead of me
we walked to the front line, gates aligned and the race track was about 3 meters away from us meaning live action
it was protected with cements and wires of course
