Ryder's POV

I was in my back yard, still angry. I sat on the floor and my papa walked to the back yard, He look concerned because he knew I would only shift unless I was mad or upset.

"Ryder, shift " he said and I looked at him as if he was crazy, he finally understood what was wrong and grab a blanket and wrap it around me, I shifted and smiled faintly at my Papa

"Thanks Papa" I said

"Now, tell me what wrong" he said sternly

"It's your sons that what's wrong"

"About them?" he asked confusingly

"They said they wanted me to have friends, I did but they freak out because the friend I made was a guy" I said

"They were just protecting you" my papa said Protecting me? why would they protect me, I was just making a god damn friend for the first time and they ruined it! My Papa gave me shorts and a sports bra, I walked behind a tree and I started to put my clothes on

"What are they protecting me from?" I said putting on my shorts

"I don't know, Ryder but you should talk it out with them" he said I know my Papa was trying to be reasonable but come on, they ruined my one chance if having a best friend. I put on my sports bra and walk to my Papa

"No screw them, I don't want to talk to them. They don't want me having friends" I said and my papa hug me, i heard Rylan's car park into the garage. They all walked to the back yard and saw me hugging papa.

"Ryder, can we talk?" Raymond said and I pulled away from my papa and I just stared at them, They were all standing in a group waiting for me to answer them.

"Ryder we didn't mean to over react, We wanted to protect you" Richard said

"Protect me from what?" I scoffed I couldn't believe the excuse they gave me "I'm fine, I can handle one guy making a wrong move! You guys are hypocrites, you tell me to make a friend and then you yell at the only person who actually wants to talk to me, I knew it. You do think I'm a loser, don't you? I hate all of you! I wished I never had any of you as my brothers!" I said as I walked passed them, I walked up the stairs and into my room. I laid down in my bed and stared at the ceiling

'Ryder, you don't mean what to you said to your brothers. So why don't you apologize' Lola said 'no! I meant every thing I said, Omar was probably the only person who wants talk to me.' I said mentally 'why do you care? you have your brothers who care for you and you have me. So what does it matter if they ruined the only person who wants to talk to you, you have us that all that matters' Lola said and I knew she was right, I got up and took a shower.

In the showers All I thought about was how I yelled at my brothers, I got out and change into red pajama pants and a black tank top. I brush my wet brown hair and put into a braid, I walked out my room and went down stairs. I went to Rylans car and grab my bag, I went to the kitchen and sat on the breakfast bar. I grab my homework and started to do it, I heard someone walk in the kitchen and I didn't want to look up so I smelled the scent in the room, it was Rylan.

"Rylan?" I said looking up at him, I felt guilt in me. I hate fighting with my brothers, especially when I told them I hate them. It was rare when I say that but I would say sorry and never feel anything. This time I felt bad for what I said, are they going to forgive me? Ugh! I hate arguing! I want to beat myself up for what I said.

"Yeah?" he said

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said. I was upset at you guys because I really wanted a friend but I knew you guys were taking care of me" I said and Rylan stared at me blankly. I stared at my pencil that was in my hand, waiting for his response, a few seconds later the rest if my brother came down stairs. Rylan must have mind link them

"Tell us that" Rylan said and I sighed, I looked at each if them

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said to you guys, I was just desperate of having a friend" I murmured They just stared at me blankly, I knew they were mind linking each other. Finally they spoke

"We're sorry too, we didn't mean to ruin your first friendship" Raymond said I got up and hugged them

"You were just taking care of me, that's all I need" I said and we somehow were in a group hug we stayed like that until my father came into the kitchen. He smiled at us, and spoke

"Time for dinner, guys" he said and we all look at each other and ran to the dinning room like animals, I shoved Ronnie out of my way and sat down. I smiled at him while he just scowled at me playfully, I laughed. My mama gave us our meal which was Chinese take out and we all started to eat quietly, it wasn't awkward but way too quiet, I knew something was up. I drop my fork and stared at my parents

"Okay, what's going on?" I said

"What do you mean?" Mama said I gave her the 'really' look

"It's way too quiet, You both are way too quiet" I said picking up my fork and started to eat again, while my parents were looking at eachother, I knew they were mind linking each other.

'Hey guys what do you think they're talking about?' I said mind linking my brothers

'Do you think they are getting a divorce?' Richard said

'No way! They are mates, no need to have a divorce' Raymond said

'Do you think they're having a baby?' Ronnie said

'Ha! there is enough of us, Mama wanted four kids but we ended up having five' Raymond said

'Hey! I'm the best thing that ever happen to you guys!' I said they all look at eachother and chuckled, I rolled my eyes and chuckled too

'Do you think the academy called because of Ryder's fight with Jason?' Rylan said

'No way, Beta Sam wanted to see my strength so I can't be in trouble!' I said I focus back at my parent who are still mind linking eachother.

" So are you going to tell us or not?" Raymond said my papa sighed he showed no emotion and my mama too

"You guys can all start work as a protector soon" my papa said and he smiled and my mama too we all smiled

"That's amazing! when can we start?" I asked Finally! my dreams are coming true! It's a dream of mine and all my brothers to become the best protectors known in the world, My Family are known to be one of the best protectors. We protected Alphas for many generations and now I can do that.

"A few weeks but for now, you need to continue on your training" my papa said sternly we all nodded and finished our dinner, I was tired so I went to the kitchen, grab my books and shove them in my bag. I took it to my room and drop it on the floor, I slowly walk to my bed and laid down. I fell instantly to sleep
