I decide to go on a run this morning before school. I haven't done much running lately. I woke up on Jax this morning. He was already awake when I opened my eyes. It was nice, we had a bit of a laugh as we both got up. Surprisingly, my mam didn't say much about him staying over. I know that most mothers would not allow a boy to sleep over, especially in the same bed. I keep running forward feeling the nice breeze across my face, diminishing the sweat that has formed. I start to jog on the way back to my house, I end up walking as I step into my estate.

I quickly get into the shower and rinse myself off. I jump into my clothes which consists of the usual leggings and a baggy t-shirt. I can barely distinguish between my pyjamas and everyday clothes anymore. They kind of blend into one.

I take my car keys and kiss my mam goodbye before heading off to school.

The first few classes were absolutely aggravating. I had the worst headache. My mind kept drifting to the night before with Jax. Whenever I thought about the somewhat private moment we shared, a blush starts to arise in my cheeks. Esther is probably the only person who keeps me awake during Maths class this morning. I don't really know how, but we're friends now. Not that I mind, It's actually nice having her around, even though she's kind of crazy. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Today she came in with purple hair. She switches the colour so quickly, It's hard to catch up. Just yesterday she had black hair and now it's purple all over.

Suddenly, the intercom screeches before a voice is heard.

"Good morning, everyone." Ms. Dumphy, the deputy principal, announces. "I have some tragic news to share." There's a slight pause. Everyone seems to be paying attention for once, everyone is on edge. "Sadly, Maddy Fennelly has gone missing." My body goes cold all over. I stay still, dropping my head down. "She has been missing for two days, the police have been informed and are now searching for her. If anyone has any information about Maddy Fennelly's whereabouts come to my office or Mr.Wilkon's office. Thank you."

Everyone starts chatting straight away with shocked gasps. I overhear someone saying that she hasn't been in school for a week. Thinking back, I haven't seen her at all since our fight in McDonalds. My head spins. I spot Esther looking at me from the corner of my eye.

"You ok?" she asks softly.

Instead of replying, I grab my bag and leave the classroom without informing the teacher. I just need a little air and I'll go back to class. I go through the emergency exit which leads into the car park. I breathe in the fresh air. I walk over to my car which I parked off to the side of the car park. It was really difficult to find a space this morning. It seemed like everyone just decided to bring their car into school today. As I near my car, I hear giggling to my left. I look around, nothing. I shrug, it's probably some teenagers making out or something. I get into my car and recline my chair, to have a little lie-down and to process the fact that Maddy is missing. My heart is beating fast right now, it feels like it's going to burst out of my chest. I roll down my window to let the fresh air into my lungs. I hear the giggling again and a male voice. I roll my eyes, trying my best to block out the annoying giggling and the sound of wet kisses. Ugh, I could get sick right now. So much for peace and quiet. How is Maddy missing? It's really strange that she could just go missing.I'm hoping she just ran away from home. My mind is going to horrible incidents that could've happened to her. I shake it off mentally. Before I lie down once more. I spot a girl and a guy coming from behind a large bush. There's the lovebirds. The two of them have their backs to me, but I notice Haley immediately, due to her unique hairstyle and her yellow playsuit, which I've seen her wear this morning. So who's she with? I lean in to see who's the lucky guy. I'm slightly hurt that she didn't tell me but I quickly extinguish that feeling as I remember that I didn't tell her about Jax. Haley and the mysterious guy stop at a dark blue BMW jeep. Nice car, I think to myself. My mouth drops when the guy turns around. I rub my eyes making sure that I'm seeing this correctly. I look at them again. Oh my God. It's actually him. It's Mr.Clay, the history teacher.
