finally, shift ended, making me walk to Ashton's office, acting like it was natural.

I saw that he wasn't there- making me assume he got paged to something, so I wrote him a note.

Went to get Cleo -pay

I stuck it onto his phone screen, putting his phone back into his bag, leaving easily.

I went to the locker room, grabbing my bag, seeing Stapleton.

"We're going on a date" he spoke.

I looked to him

"A secret one of course- no one can know" he mumbled out.

"I hope you have fun" I spoke truthfully, giving him the smallest smile before leaving.

I walked to my car, hearing a faint "hey!", making time turn, seeing Doctor Hood running to me.

"Sorry- Ashton just wanted you to know that he got paged into a car accident- he doesn't know how long it will take" he spoke.

This was awkward

"Oh okay- thank you, could you tell him that I'm going to get Cleo and going home?" I asked with smile.

"Of course, be safe" he smiled.

"Thank you, you too"

I drove to Maddie's, successfully getting a hyper Cleo.

She sang the whole way to the apartment, still continuing as we got out, going into the building.

"What do you want for dinner?" I asked as she ran inside- going straight to her coloring books.

She paused, acting as if she was thinking.

"Soup?"

I thanked god, she chose something easy.

I fixed enough soup for all three of us Incase Ashton came back hungry.

I brought her to the table, eating with her.

"Where's Ashton?" She asked.

Just as I went to speak I heard the door open, making me quickly look- seeing that it was him.

"Right there" I spoke, seeing excitement break out into her face.

"Ashton!" She yelled, running after him to hug him.

"Cleo!" He yelled out, acting equally excited as he hugged her tightly.

I fixed him a bowl of soup, smiling as he carried her back to the table, putting her in her spot.

"Eat with us!" She bounced with a smile as I set the bowl down, seeing him look to me.

"I would love to" He spoke, kissing my cheek gently, us all sitting.

"So I have something to propose to you" Ashton spoke, making me raise my eyebrows.

"All interns get the week off for Christmas" he spoke slowly, making me nod.

"I'm taking off to go visit my family in Australia" he spoke slowly, making me nod.

"You and Cleo- come with me." He spoke firmly.

I was shocked.

"I mean- I'm not against the idea" I spoke, seeing his face almost light up.

"We'll have to see- I mean we're three months from Christmas, you never know" I mumbled out.

"If you're worried about us- meaning our relationship" he spoke slowly, making me look to him

Relationship?

"I don't see it going anywhere but uphill from here"
