"Girl he's been blowing up your phone all damn day." Javier chuckled as i snatched my phone from the kitchen table and muted Oscar's messages.
"Whats going on with you guys?" My brother questioned as he poured more cereal into his bowl.
"He doesn't like that i'm hanging with Martín."
"But Martín is the homie." Javier pouted as Antonio handed him the cereal.
"I know. Oscar is just being dramatic."
"Or jealous. I mean... you and Martín were dating at one point. I wouldn't like it either if Jocelyn was besties with her ex."
"Okay but this is hella different. Martín is apart of the group. Not some random guy." I poked at my scrambled eggs.
"So its Martin's fault for coming after Oscar's girl." Antonio shook his head.
"Nooo. Oscar kept that a secret because you didn't want us dating. Therefore Martín didn't know Oscar and i had a thing."
"Ohhhh so its your fault then because you went after Oscar's homie."
"No technically its your fault because if you'd let Oscar and i date peacefully none of thi-"
"Can you both be quiet? You're stressing me out." My mom shouted from the kitchen.
"Sorry ma." Antonio and I said in unison.

At school
"There you are! Why weren't you in history?" I walked over to Martín as he took stuff from his locker and threw them in his bag.
"Reasons." He shrugged as he walked away.
"Martín where are you going? And why is your locker empty?" I followed him out the school gates.
"I dropped out." He gave me a look before walking away.
"Dropped out?" I grabbed his hand.
"Yeah. My dad kicked me out the house and if i'm going to be supporting myself then i need to get a full time job." He shrugged before taking off.
