The next morning, Poppy woke up to the sound of her father.
"Aw, go home already!"
She poked her head out of the window, "I'm done playing that game, Dad!"
However, she saw her Dad dressed like a pirate captain on a pirate ship, "That's Captain Dad to you, and this is no game. We're gonna be pirates."
That got Poppy excited.
Pretty soon, Peppy had a pirate crew of Poppy, Branch, and Barb.
Peppy gave them all pirate uniforms.
They then set sail for a real treasure hunt.

After about an hour, Peppy said, "Keep a sharp lookout, Poppy. According to the map, we're close to our first landmark."
Poppy asked, "Really? Can we see the map?"
However, her dad answered, "Uh, no. Only the captain can look at the map."
That got Branch a little suspicious, "What? Why?"
Peppy answered, "Never mind that, my boy. Just keep rowing."
Branch said, "Okkkk."
Barb then said, "So, how long until we hit our first landmark?"
Peppy answered, "Poppy, keep a lookout for land."
Poppy said, "Okeydokey, then."
Peppy said, "Honey, a pirate doesn't say 'okeydokey, then'. A pirate says 'Arrgh'."
Poppy said, "Okey-oops. I mean, arrgh, Captain Peppy."
Just then, she saw a huge cliff up ahead.
She said, "Captain, we're about to hit- I mean, arrgh, captain, we're arrgh about arrgh to hit arrgh..."
Branch shouted, "What?"
Poppy said, "Arrgh, I'm arrgh trying arrgh to say-"
*Crash*
"...cliff."
The ship ran right into the cliff.
Peppy said, "Ok, from now on, only the captain says 'arrgh'."
Barb said, "Well, this ship's not going any further."
Peppy said, "Then, we'll have to continue the rest of the trip on foot."

The crew came up to a small bush with three leaves.
Peppy looked at the map and said, "This is it, shipmates. 'From the bush with two leaves on it, 10,000 paces east'."
Branch said, "But, King Peppy, that bush has-"
Peppy pulled one of the leaves off.
Poppy just shrugged and said, "Which way, captain?"
Peppy asked, "Ensign Barb, which way is east?"
Barb took a look at the compass and pointed one way.

"9,997, 9,998, 9,999, 10,000."
The crew stopped at a spot, but didn't see anything.
Peppy said, "It should be right here. 10,000 paces east."
However, Barb said, "Oh. East? I thought you said 'Weast'."
"'Weast'? What kind of compass are you reading?"
Barb showed him the compass.
Peppy saw that Weast was actually...
"That's west, Barbara."
Barb replied, "Oh, right. Sorry. Geography was never really my thing."

It took another 9,500 paces until it was clear that the crew was exhausted.
Poppy said, "Maybe we should stop for the night."
Branch quietly said, "Forget for the night, I just want to go home."
Poppy said to him, "Look, I know this doesn't seem like much fun now, but look at how happy it's made my dad. Let's just let him play this out until it's done, ok?"
Branch agreed.
Barb then said, "Besides, it may be worth it when we finally find the treasure."
