Soulmates

"Do you think... we're soulmates?"

Your brain seemed to stop functioning as he asked you

"W-what?"

"It's just... uh"
'Telling her seemed so much easier before I was... actually telling her...'
"I think we were wrong, about... not being soulmates..."

Kuroo looked down, trying to hide his reddened face.

You took a moment to process what he had said, letting out a sigh of relief and leaning onto him.

"I'm so glad you said that because I had no idea how to bring it up!"

"W-wait what?"

"I-I talked to my parents after you had dinner with us... they hated eachother when they first met, but I have no doubt that they're soulmates... after that I just wanted to figure out how I felt... and well... I- I-"
You took a deep breath before continuing
" iodine, lithium, potassium, europium."

[I , Li , K, Eu]

Kuroo turned to look at you with wide eyes

"Wait really?"

"Y-yeah"

You both felt the electric feeling from the red string again and winced slightly.

"Gonna have to get used to that huh?"

"Definitely." You smiled

You both stayed silent for a moment, until you realized he hadn't responded.

"Hey wait... I just confessed to you and you didn't reply!"

Kuroo smirked, lightly cupping your face and pulling you into a kiss.

As he pulled away, he spoke again.
"Iodine, aluminum, sulfur, oxygen, lithium, potassium, europium."

[I, Al, S, O, Li, K, Eu,]

You burst into laughter at kuroos response, making him somehow blush more than he already was.

"W-what are you laughing at?"

"You're such a nerd, it's cute."

"You were the one who confessed with the periodic table first!"

"That's because I'm also a nerd, we really are soulmates." You giggled

"I guess so." He smiled "oh shit... We need to tell kenma!"

"Oh uh... he sorta already knows..."

"Huh?!"

You explained to kuroo what had happened the night before and what kenma told you.

"Wow... he already figured it out Huh?
I guess I should have assumed, Kenna's always been pretty observant."

"Yeah, how bout we tell him that we talked!"

Kenma was playing games when he received a text.

Y/n: I figured out how I felt, and talked to kuroo, thank you for your help kenma! You're a great friend!

Kenma: I'm glad things worked out :) I assume the two of you are dating now?
