Everything had happened so fast Hiccup could not react in time and only scream.

Everything was fine when his father and brother went over the hill despite the awkward silence he was experiencing with his brother's sister.

"So?" Hiccup began when she just cuts him off. "Can we just stay in silence and avoid talking as much as possible?" Nya asks in mock sweetness. Hiccup has experience with that voice from Astrid so he just nodded in agreement with her. "Yep sure," He said and just went back to his chores.

He had put the sticks he was gathering in a pile before he suddenly heard Toothless roar.

He turns around in a flash of lightning to see his dragon gone. "Tooth-less!?" Hiccup yells in concern. Skullcrusher and Flame were digging at the ground and that confused Hiccup even more.

"Relax your dragon must have just flown off," Nya dismisses. "He can't fly without me though," Hiccup explains looking around for him. Suddenly he saw as a large cloud of dust exploded near him and the dragons both roared before disappearing in the dust cloud.

Ember had flown into the tree branches earlier and she made alarmed noises watching her mother pulled under. This time Nya was alert and she was in a fighting stance looking around on the ground while Hiccup was panicking. They backed up into each other and Hiccup quickly said to her panicking.

"We need to get Kai and dad we need to," Hiccup didn't finish as a tail shot up from the ground and pulled them under. They screamed in terror as they were pulled under.

They screamed all the way down until they landed in a cave.

Hiccup groans as he got up and looked around. His vision was fuzzy and it was dimly lit. "Toothless? Flame? Skull crusher?" Hiccup calls out in a whisper squinting in the dark. He can't make out anything, but suddenly theirs a bright light to his left and he ducks to the floor covering his head. "What are you doing?" Hiccup looks up and saw Nya with a metal cylinder stick that was shining a light.

"What's that?" Hiccup asks getting up and was immediately fascinated and wanted to take it apart to see how it worked. "A flashlight pretty basic tech," Nya said not picking up on Hiccup's awe of the simple device.

"Anyway what is this place?" Nya asks shining the light around. Hiccup looks around and gets a closer look at the cave walls. "They look like whispering death tunnels," he deduced and Nya asks while looking around nervously. "Should I turn off the light then so we don't attract any?" She asks. "No!" Hiccup quickly said startling her before he got his senses. "No, Whispering Deaths hate direct light, so we will definitely need that," Hiccup explains to her, but is then confused. "Though I'm pretty sure whatever pulled us and the dragons down here was not a whispering death," he said mostly to himself confused.

Once he had finished explaining that to her they both hear a very loud roar followed by two more. "That's the dragons!" Hiccup took off in a sprint following the sound with Nya right next to him. As they ran they started going by spots of light in holes above them and those holes were covered, but he didn't give them too much notice until.

"Wait," Nya urges him to hold up and he pauses briefly. "The dragons are in danger we need to help them! Whispering deaths are territorial and," he said when she interrupted him asking. "I don't know anything about whispering deaths and it sounds like we're heading into a nest by the amount of tunnels here so please tell me because I need to be prepared and I don't want to end up like them!" Nya points to the side of her and Hiccup looks to where she's pointing.

To his horror he saw a pile of skeletons dressed in various forms of Viking clothing. Some of the clothing was old, but he could see some of it was more recent yet the bones were still clean of any meat. "Guess we know what happened to anyone who came here," The one legged Viking said grimly. Hiccup took a step forward and heard a cracking sound under him he looks under his foot and picks up a small object. It looked like ice at first glance, but it felt more like a diamond except lighter. It was also shaped like a tear drop.
