second first impressions

harumi's pov

zane and pixal pick us up in the destiny's bounty about 15 minutes after my talk with lloyd. the green ninja's really starting to grow on me. he's brave, a good leader, and surprising wise. i think i will take his advice.

he was right. ive been so focused on forgetting about my old life that my goals became unreachable. it might take years, maybe decades, to get to that normal, peaceful life id like. and i can get there- it'll just take time. but in the meantime i can certainly focus on my current problem- which is find garmadon.

one more step in the plan.

weirdly zane and pixal aren't too wary once they realize ive come along for the trip. they pretty much just ignore me. pixal offers me a bottle of water, which i gladly take.

i try not to wander around the ship- i don't wanna seem suspicious- but i do look around my old sleeping quarters. the rooms pretty plain now, i guess it's just a guest bedroom.

on my way back up to the main deck i bump into nya. i offer her a smile and she gives a very nervous one back. it's no secret that she hated me. strongly. maybe more than lloyd.

zane is the one steering the ship when i get to the deck. i lean against one of the walls and slid down to the floor, looking up at the stars. i haven't seen a night sky in such a long time. the things you sacrifice to be a good ninjago citizen.

i hear footsteps and look over as lloyd sits down next to me.

"we should be there in around 45 minutes," he says.

i nod. he smiles for no reason in particular. im kinda surprised. he's been a little anxious since garmadon escaped, although he's been trying to hide it.

he's actually kind of cute, i think, surprising myself. i never really noticed it before. lloyd is also the only one who seems to care about me on this ship, so it also could be that.

but still, that feeling of needing to impress him with how good i've become comes back.

"you doing okay?" he asks.

"yeah, alright." i reply. "you?"

"im ok,"

  i wake up on lloyd shoulder.

  the morning sun's peaking its way over the clouds. the mountains we're soaring over are absolutely breathtaking. i inhale, and exhale.

  looking over the side of the ship you can see the monastery. i haven't actually ever been here. it looks very nice.

  "cool, huh?" lloyd says next to me. "it was built a long time ago. the first spinjitzu master lived here."

  "that's amazing," i reply.

  the ship land by the monastery and we all exit.
  it's very beautiful with its tall walls, courtyard and murals.

  suddenly i feel something hit my back and i fall to the ground. i roll to avoid hitting my arm and use the momentum to spring back up, arm up, ready to fight.

  i hear a voice say,

  "what's she doing here?!"

lloyd's pov

ok, so not the best start.

  kai attacked harumi as soon as she walked in the gate. he can get really protective, but i didn't realize that he would attack harumi as soon as she walked in the door.

  "relax!" i step in between the two of them. "kai, it's fine,"

  "no it's not!" kai retorts, "she's crazy! she wants to kill you!"

  "she doesn't." i say firmly. i turn to harumi. "right?"

  "right," she said.

  "see? it's fine," i tell kai.

  "i don't trust her." he says, but he lowers his sword. "but i do trust you."

  "okay, well, now that that's done." i sigh. "we have other more important things to worry about! my father has escaped." i say to kai, master wu and cole, now that everyone's in the courtyard.

  "what?" master wu says.

  "we need to make a plan now."
