PROLOGUE: VIOLET SEEDLINGS

"Death is not the end. Just the beginning."

Looking up at the eternally red moon, I reminisced. She was right. No. She is right. Beneath my window, bathed in a blood-colored hue, many of my people milled about. Casting awed gazes towards the castle I resided in. Gazes filled with an unspoken gratitude and awe that was loudly declared just the day before.

A knock on the door drew my gaze away from the window. An easy smile on my face as the door to my room opened. I especially looked forward to the little bundle of joy on the other side of the door.

I smiled. I smiled even though the story of how I got here was not a pretty nor a pleasant story, and though not a happy path, there were moments I thoroughly cherished. Moments I enjoyed. This was the story of how I got here. What it meant to be of Cerberus and to have a Cerberus' heart.
