Most of the general populace look upon their entwined figures and assume it as a transient dalliance born from the dreadful times of war and desperation to feel something, anything.
And that anything for them were each other. A pitiful union to say the least.

don't mind me, I'm just making few changes here and there because I read like a 50 chapter fanfic last week and I remembered my attention and commitment issues so I'm clubbing together some chapters to make it look more approachable.
