CH 25.5: Author's Note

Dear Readers,

HELLOOOO AND UNFORTUNATELY GOODBYEEE :(((

it's been a long ride, spanning over 4 months of writing (although it could've just been 3 bcs of my lazy ass)

i started this book bcs i was so mad of all the good yeji fanfics being absolute bangers into discontinued pieces

and i really wanted to take matters into my hands HEHAHAHA, so i developed a plan, using all of the yeji edits i have favorited on tiktok, i managed to slowly but surely brainstormed an idea

and after that, everything was history, i started first with three chapters planned out

the “prologue” just centered around their highschool days, i had some of my friends have it read it early and managed to release my first chapter on June

and the book cover omg, the old book cover was absolutely hideous, i changed it after the first chapter realizing i had the power of canva at my side

but back then, all i had at disposal was phonto… so this was the old cover HEHAHAH

so glad it didn't turn out this way…

the reason y i settled for this back then was bcs all of the yeji fics that were good back then was just a pic of an yeji and that's it

so i thought, maybe this'll suffice, but it definitely didn't in today's standards

now next is the difference in character design, YN was always gonna be Song Kang, since I established in the first place that YN's last name will be Kang, so I searched the internet for k-actors with Kang in their name

and lo and behold Song Kang

after that, i searched for genderbent edits of song Kang, and i saw this

the picture on the bottom right of minji is the genderbent ver of song kang and i noticed a resemblance between the two so i chose it

the guy on the right of minji is Woo Do Hwan or Kang Min-woo

he's like the og design of Min-woo before i changed it to Kwak Dong Yeon

and lastly is Ji-eun, this is where i got a bit annoyed

originally, i wanted to find an actor that had resemblance to Yeji's eyes so it can show that YN always liked Yeji's features

ranging from korean to japanese to chinese actors, it got really hard

so all i did instead was find an actor that had JUST the eyes resemblance, so that's how i figured Hoyeon would do the job

now how about the thought process of making these chapters

i do it by outline, expand, and refine

three step process, i start by outlining it on a wide scale, just having the barebone minimum of what i want to do in the chapter

then i go into expanding it, now fully detailing out WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN in that chapter

and lastly refining, where i put all the dialogue, fancy words, images, etc.

it's a fun process i like to do :))

but enough of that, here's what i really wanted to say…

For the four months this has been updating, i've never been so proud of myself for keeping this up.

You guys made me feel confident in myself and feel great, you're the sole purpose why i still manage to make quality products with my mind that has been dormant for so long
