My tears came freely as I rushed towards the company's entrance. Maria, a sympathetic Friend of mine, was waiting for me there. "Are you okay?" she asked with concern etched on her face. "He said go out...he said he doesn't want to see me..." I sobbed, the weight of Mu Liam's harsh words crushing my spirit.

"What do you mean?" Maria exclaimed, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"I think he fired me," I said dejectedly, tears welling up in my eyes.

"No, Emily, no! I mean, why did he do that? You're a hard worker. Tell me, what is the reason?" Maria asked, concern evident in her voice.

"There's no reason," I replied, my voice cracking with emotion.

"Did you tell him?" Maria inquired, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, I did. He just told me to leave after I poured my heart out. I think he's mad at me," I confessed, feeling a wave of hurt wash over me.

Maria enveloped me in a warm hug, trying to ease my pain.

"How about you go home and rest?" Maria suggested, her voice filled with empathy.

"Bye then," I mumbled, my voice breaking as I turned to leave.

As I walked out of the company, I wiped away the tears streaming down my cheeks, feeling a mix of sadness and uncertainty about the future.

I got home feeling lost and alone. Days turned into weeks with no phone calls, no chats, no messages - just deafening silence. I lay in bed, consumed by my thoughts.

"Emily, someone is waiting for you outside," my mom's voice broke through my fog of despair.

"I'm coming," I muttered, slipping on my slippers and making my way downstairs. Mom was waiting for me, concern etched on her face.

"Where is she?" I asked, my mind still fixated on Maria, longing for her presence. My heart ached for her, but I couldn't shake the memory of Mu Liam. Mom looked puzzled, confused by my distracted state. It had been a week of me lying in bed, barely eating or drinking, feeling like I had lost everything I held dear.

"Outside," Mom replied, prompting me to step out and face whatever awaited me.

As I opened the door and closed it behind me, I turned to see Maria standing there, a sight that both warmed and confused me. Was this real or just a figment of my imagination? My body trembled with a mix of emotions, unsure of what was happening.

"Maria, welcome," I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, hoping beyond hope that it was truly her. But to my surprise, it was Mu Liam who stood before me, his mere presence leaving me speechless.

"Mr. Mu Liam," I managed to say, still taken aback by his sudden change in demeanor.

"I was thinking about your mistake and talked to Rose. She told me she was the one who forced you," Mu Liam continued, his words sinking in slowly as I tried to process the sudden turn of events.

I was left speechless, unable to form words as he offered an apology and a chance to return to work.

"It's okay, why did you come yourself? It's fine if you send your assistant," I replied, concealing my true emotions in front of him, though he could see through my facade.

"Emily, I know what you've been through, and I know you were in bed the whole week," Mu Liam said, his voice filled with understanding.

"Who told you?" I asked, surprised that my mom had spoken to him.

"Your mom. She thought I could help," Mu Liam explained.

"Sorry for bothering you," I muttered, lowering my head before raising it again.

"It's nothing. How about I take you for breakfast as an apology?" Mu Liam suggested, his new warmth shining through his words.

"No, it's alright," I hesitated, unsure of his intentions.

"Just get in the car," he insisted, nodding towards a sleek black luxury car parked in front of us.

"But..." I started to protest, only to be cut off by Mu Liam. "Do you want me to get you in the car, or are you getting in by yourself?"

"No, I'll get in myself," I replied, noticing the subtle smile that played on his lips, a gesture that didn't escape my notice.

I settled into the car as Mu Liam began to drive. The silence hung between us until he finally spoke."So you were in bed the whole week?" Mu Liam inquired.

"What if we don't mention it," I suggested, hoping to avoid the topic altogether.

"I can't," he replied firmly.

"Are you sure you want to hear about it?" I asked, hesitant to share my struggles with him.

"Yes, I would love to," Mu Liam responded, his tone sincere.

"I was in bed the whole week, without any food or water. I think I've lost a lot of weight," I confessed, feeling vulnerable in my admission.

He chuckled, a smile gracing his lips. "Childish," he remarked, his amusement evident in his tone.

"Is it funny or sad?" I asked, seeking clarification from Mu Liam.

"It can be either," he replied simply.

"I hope you will not make fun of me," I expressed my concerns, hoping for understanding.

"I hope so too," Mu Liam responded, leaving me uncertain of his true intentions.

As I glanced at him while he continued to drive, I couldn't help but question his motives. "Why did you make fun of me when you have a lot of work to do?" I probed, seeking an explanation. He remained silent and eventually parked the car, leading me towards a seafood maker by the sea.

"Get out, let's go," Mu Liam instructed, prompting me to follow him on foot towards the small seaside cafe. The fresh sea air was a welcome sensation after being cooped up in my room for a week, and I felt a sense of gratitude for this moment.

Mu Liam took a seat at a table overlooking the sea, and I followed suit, sitting across from him.

He ordered food for both of us, and as we waited for our meal, I couldn't help but remark on the pleasant atmosphere.

"It feels good around here. Do you come here often?" I inquired.

"Not yet. This is my first time coming around here," Mu Liam shared, offering a glimpse into his world beyond the office walls.
