here, i'm smiling on my own. the chemistry book in front of me left forgotten. a tear would sometime slide down my cheek, the silly grins and heart fluttering dreams laying on my sleeve.
today was fine, yesterday was okay and i know tomorrow would be ordinary. and i'm alright with that. you've given me enough rainbows to hold on to, enough thunderstorms to dance in, enough music to sing my heart to. you've given me something i wasn't able to - love.
and here, today, i can say that i've loved myself. i can love myself the way you used to love me, i can see myself above the clouds flying mighty high.
i was your calico cat, and now i can be free. our love story didn't end in flames, we can finally be free. even when we weren't perfect, i loved you and that's enough.
