They had camped out for the rest of the day, with Sakura tending to Sasuke's wounds. Yeah...only his.
It would be a surprise if she had even considered glancing at Naruto.

But he didn't want her attention. Oh no. Not at all. The fact that she was so amazingly ignoring her teammate only allowed him to rest more.

And anyways. He wasn't risking his life with Sakura's madic skills. He laid on the grass and watched the moon. It illuminated the forest and reminded him of how poorly they were camping. Without a tent. Or fire. Or food. Totally open to any attacks.

But the fact that Tamako hadn't shown up yet met only a few things. That she was defeated. Or captured. Or maybe Kakashi and she were still in midst of a battle. Or maybe they were trapped in  a Genjutsu. Or maybe she ran away.

Ok...maybe it meant more than a few things. Naruto looked over to the log where Sakura was Fangirling over Sasuke's muscles and his strength while he just blankly stared ahead. He watched them and saw Sasuke get up. He walked over to a tree and sat down near its base. Obviously to get some peace and quiet.

"Sakura. Leave me alone for a while. I'll keep guard." He told her, and she vigorously nodded her head. "You can go to sleep." He told her and she obediently followed.

Man, only if he, Naruto, could order her around....
He would tell her to go jump from a cliff and break her neck and die... probably.

He got up and started towards where Sasuke was sitting. But he was stopped by Sakura. "Hey he said he wants to be alone for a while. Of course, how would you know since all you've done is sleep!!" She told him. Sasuke didn't bother turning behind.

Naruto was in no mood for her attitude and simply pushed past her. "I heard him. And I don't need to follow any of your's orders. I want to merely ask him something. Alone" He added the last part with some force and went to Sasuke.

"What is it dobe. Not usual for you to talk back to sakura."

"What did you see?" Naruto asked him.
Sasuke seemed taken aback.

"Why do you want to know?" He demanded. His tone clearly stated that he didn't want to discuss this topic any further. Unfortunately for him, that's exactly what Naruto wanted to do.

"Come on. You weren't trapped alone. I need to know whether we both had the same visions."

Sasuke sighed. The fact that Naruto had a perfectly logical reason only frustrated him more.

"The Uchiha Massacre." He stated simply. His face void of any emotions. Honestly, he couldn't trust himself with the memory. It could make him furious or even make him cry. But that was only in the close comfort of his apartment that he truly displayed any emotions regarding the Massacre. And Naruto? He wouldn't even trust him with his Kunai.

He expected some reaction from Naruto. Some sympathy at which he could retort, some shock. But to his surprise Naruto merely nodded as if he...as if he knew...

"What did you see?" Sasuke demanded. "Did you see the same thing??!"

"No. " Was his simple response. He didn't seem to be in the mood for talking a lot. But Sasuke wasn't leaving until he found out Naruto vision. Of course , he didn't expect it to be something even close to his visions. After all, Naruto had no family.

"No? That's all you have to say? I told you what I saw now you tell me what you saw!" This was said rather loudly, and caused the Appearance of Sakura.

"Why are you annoying him idiot?" She taunted him(Naruto) "Can't you see he's trying to rest?"

"I asked him a question Sakura. " Sasuke told her.

"I saw ... My worst nightmare..." Naruto said. He wasn't going to say the actual thing, especially not in front of Sakura.

"Oh really?" Sakura sneered. "What was it? A shortage of Ramen?" An apocalyptic world where Ramen doesn't exist? "

Naruto's face was pure shock. He knew that Sakura was an idiot. A total complete idiot without the essential organ that usually controlled a human that is the brain, but, he never expected her to say that.

Or maybe he did. His face resumed the poker expression and he stood up.

"Is that really what you think Sakura? Please tell me that was joke." He couldn't believe it. How can someone think so lowly of him? Hadn't she seen him being ignored by the villagers? Hell, hadn't she herself ignored him and abused him in every way possible? How can she still say such things?

Sasuke got up as well. "I don't care what Sakura said. I want to you to tell me what you saw. Of course even if I don't agree with sakura, I don't think your nightmare could be that bad."

Naruto make a are-you-kidding-me face and then looked straight into his eyes.
"Things are not always how you think they are. You don't know anything." His voice was cold, and rather unusual. They wouldn't even have thought that he could speak like that.

Sakura and Sasuke frowned and Naruto turned on his heels and walked away. "Tomorrow, we will go look for sensei."
