"Should we go closer to the tower?" Sakura asked, explaining how, players with scrolls might be heading there. 

"We can..." Sasuke replied, adding that they would need a plan. 

"We hide.  We ambush. We attack. Simple." Naruto piqued while Sasuke glared at him. "Do you think it's that simple? We couldn't even defeat those ninjas from yesterday! We let them go." Sasuke was clearly bothered by that. And Naruto didn't have the heart to tell him, that...well...that he might have...

"Alright, Let's head to a river first. We need food. Avoid any creature ok? Let's go" Sasuke led the team.

Avoid any creature.

Easier said than done! It hadn't been half an hour and they had already been attacked by two huge ass bears( Which Sasuke and Naruto took out),  a wave of blood sucking leech (which Sasuke and Naruto took out), and now they were battling a huge human-eating-eagle-thing (which...also is being handled by...Naruto and Sasuke). Mean while Sakura sat up on the nearest branch, dodging the attacks and cheering Sasuke. 

After defeating the eagle, they headed towards south, apparently following "tracks".

"Hey, do you hear that?" Sakura stopped and listened. "It's a river!" with that she quickly ran away, forcing her two teammates to follow her.

They ran through bushes and finally came to a huge river. Approaching slowly, they checked the surroundings in case there was another team present there. Quikly they filled their flasks and drank as much water as they could. "Should we set up camp here?"Sakura asked, but Sasuke refused saying that it was in plain sight. They could be attacked at any time.

"Hey...I'll be back in a sec ok." naruto started walking away towards the woods. "Where are you going idiot!" Sasuke whispered loudly. The blond held up his pinky indicating that he needed to go. He ran while, his teammates shook their heads at him.

"Ahh..."

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" 

What the-, Naruto zipped quickly and turned to look around. The scream came again. Definitely not Sasuke or Sakura. It wasnt even coming from that direction. Well, maybe it was his chance to collect the scroll. He jumped towards the sound and upon reaching saw one of those huge ass bears attacking some random red haired kid. 

A few (rather impressive)kicks there laid a dead bear and frightened red haired girl with specs. 

"What scroll do you have?" Naruto asked in his coldest voice. The girl trembled and replied, "E- Earth s-croll...". In the blink of an eye the blond's composure changed. He went from cold and heartless to a terribly frustrated teen. "WHAT IN THE HELL? What happened to all the heaven scrolls?? alright you can go..and I dunno, do whatever you want." He waved his hand at her in a dismissive manner and started walking away.

"Hey, Um..." She squeaked and Naruto turned around lazily, "My name is Karin, what's your name?"

"Uzumaki Naruto." With that he shusinied away, leaving behind a gaping Karin. 

"Uzu...maki?"

"Where were you? We have to leave now." Sakura punched him, but it was much more weaker than she used to. Naruto wasn't sure if was compassion or weakness.

"I was busy rescuing damsels." Sasuke and Sakura stared at him until he laughed and said, "Just kidding!...not.". His teammates gave him a look again while he grinned.

While jumping over trees and bushes,  they had come across something pretty strange. 

"These are the masks of those ninjas we encountered yesterday right?" Sakura noted.

"Who could have done this? Someone far stronger than us." Sasuke looked off in the distance, while Naruto stood in the side barely containing his grin. 

Finally they found it.

"Where are the bodies though?" Sakura questioned, following the bloody trails that ended in a bush.

Naruto really really wanted to give them a full description of how he had defeated them and left the disposal to the blood thirsty foxes of this forest.

"It's finally my turn," Naruto yawned while Sasuke got into his bed. "Don't doze off." Sasuke warned. After making sure they were asleep, Naruto made two shadow clones to keep guard while he went after the ninjas that had dared attack them earlier. 

He followed their scent and chakra signatures and easily found them hiding in the nook of a tree. He greeted the startled ninjas as dark figures, foxes, appeared from the shadows of the forest. With his back to the moon, he looked like a black shadow of doom illuminated by fate. Their death. 

"Miss me?" . 

Slashing his katana and dissecting them felt so good. The way his katana sliced through flesh was...satisfying. His cold blue eyes glinted and were the last things the ninjas saw.

"I had no clue you guys were here." Naruto sad, sheathing his katana. 

"As I might've mentioned, your senses have dulled."  Hitomi jumped down from a branch and a sleeker, longer katana appeared on Naruto's neck, held by Keito. 

Naruto didn't flinch, which caused Keito to groan as he sheathed his katana as well. "Aw man, you're no fun." He complained.

"Wasn't this fun enough?" The blond answered back causing them to laugh.

"Anyways, this is important," Hitomi handed a scroll to Naruto and continued, "We have doubts that Orochimaru might be here and targeting one of you."

"Preferably sasuke." Keito said. "Don't forget, Orochimaru was in the Akatsuki, and that's where Itachi is...There might be some connection." Naruto nodded.

"That's all then? Well then," He gestured to the dead bodies and told the other foxes to help themselves.

"Doesn't look like it was pretty." Was all Naruto said. 

"Let's just get away from here. This place is giving me the chills." Sakura shivered. 

They all nodded and headed towards the tower, where they planned to set up a trap for any team heading there.

I feel like we're being followed.

It seems so, these people must be really good at hiding their chakra signatures.

Btw, I saw Hotarubi no mori e and spirited away. Spirited away was like Alice in Wonderland and Hotarubi no mori e was a very sweet movie! I totally recommend it!
