No matter how much Zayn tried, he couldn't get the innocent beauty out of his head. His innocent beauty. She had taken over him completely without even knowing.

A lot of girls that Zayn had met were always there for his money or for his looks. Nobody cared about what he was in the inside. They all just cared about the outside. But Layla, she was something else. Not once had she asked him for money. Whenever she went shopping she would take her own card. Zayn had even given her a card specifically made for her, but she never used it.

Zayn looked at the stack of papers sitting on his desk, taunting him. Sighing he got back to work.

Too engrossed in his paperwork, Zayn hadn't noticed the time. He looked at his phone to see missed calls from Layla. He forgot to turn the silent off after am important meeting. Frowning, he checked the time, only to realize it was 11:48 pm.

"Shit," he thought to himself. Layla must be worried sick. "That explains the missed calls," Quickly packing up, he left the building, hurrying to his car.

Upon reaching home, he noticed it was dead silent. "Layla?" He called out but got no reply.

Walking into the living room, he saw his wife sleeping on the couch, her phone clutched in her hands. He couldn't help but feel guilty. She was waiting for him to come home. She also ate with him when he came back home and ate breakfast with him before he left for work.

He slowly walked towards her, brushing the strands away from her face. She was so beautiful. She was wearing a simple white and golden suit which made her look like a hoor. He loved it when she wore white. It enhanced her beauty.

(Angel)

Zayn wondered if he actually deserved a soul like her. Dismissing his thoughts, he gently picked her up bridal style and carried her up the stairs.

Reaching their room, he placed her on the bed, making sure not to wake her up but of course that was inevitable since she was a light sleeper.

"Zayn? Aap agay? Mai apka intezar kari thi," she said, her voice husky with sleep.

(Your home? I was waiting for you)

"Yah, I'm home. Go to sleep," he said and got up to change.

"Wait!" She exclaimed, before clearing her throat out of embarrassment. "Umm, why are you ignoring me?" She questioned in a quieter voice.

"I'm not ignoring you," he replied briefly.

"Yes, you are! Ever since last night, your acting even colder and you also ignored all my calls. Do you know how worried I was?"

"Look, it doesn't matter, Layla. Leave it alone," he emphasized the last sentence.

"No, tell me what's wrong," she said, desperation seeking through her voice.

"Nothing," he said and turned around, advancing towards the bathroom.

"There is som-,"

"I'm f*cking embarrassed, okay?" Zayn roared. "Happy now?"

Layla remained silent at his outburst, not expecting it. "Why are you embarrassed?" She questioned in a soft voice.

Zayn chuckled bitterly at the question. "Are you really going to ask me that?" When she didn't reply, Zayn continued. "I got drunk last night, Layla, making a complete fool of myself." He stressed. Her eyes softened at the revelation and she walked towards him.

She grasped his face in her hands, "Doesn't mean you can just ignore me, Zayn. You can't do that. That's not how relationships work," she spoke.

"Yah, and wouldn't you know?" He snorted bitterly. Hurt replaced her soft, tender look at his cruel words. She dropped her hands from his face and turned back around, heading towards the bed before she was pulled back into her husbands arms.

"I'm sorry, that was unaccounted for," Zayn apologized and buried his head in the crook of her neck.

"No you can't just do that Zayn!" Layla suddenly burst. She was tired of being patient with him. "One minute you're so nice and playful and the next second, your so rude to me! You hurt me and just apologize like it's nothing. You can't do that, that's not how apologies work. I'm so done with this," she stressed, tears blurring her vision. "When I found out that I was going to marry you, this was not I thought it would be. I feel like I'm the only one trying in this relat-," Layla was cut off by a kiss to her lips. Zayns slightly chapped lips moved against Layla's soft, plump ones.

She froze completely and her mind went blank. "What the hell?" She questioned herself.

Zayn pulled her closer by her waist, gaining her attention. After hesitating, she kissed him back with just as much passion. Her hands travelled up his chest to his face and cupped it, the light stubble on his face teasing her hands. They pulled away, gasping for air and Zayn rested his forehead against hers, his hands on her hips.

"I'm sorry. I am, Layla, I really am. I-I've never done something like this before and...."

"And you think I have? Zayn this is just as much new to me as it is to you." She muttered in a soft voice with a hint of frustration.

"Acha, tum sahiye kahry ho. Muhje maaf kardo." He pleaded. "Mai aisa dubara nahi karo ga, I promise,"

(Ok your right. Forgive me. I won't do something like this again)

His face held desperation and pain and Layla could tell he was truly sorry.

"Okay,"

"Okay?"

"Okay, but of you do something like this again, you won't be forgiven so easily." She threatened him and rested her forehead against his chest.

"You have my word, c'mon, lets go to bed," he said.

Layla laid down in bed while her husband went to change out of his work clothes. When he came back, he wrapped her up in his arms, where she belonged.

He softly kissed her forehead and hugged her tighter. He loved the feeling of her in his arms. She fitted perfectly in his arms, as she was made solely for him.

"Goodnight, jaan," was the last thing Layla heard before she was out like a light.
