Chapter ten *Present*

"Mom, dad, Lilly, this is Marcus," Charlton introduce them to each other. Sarah give a big smile and bite her lip. She grab Marcus and give him a tight hug.
"Finally," she giggle and look at him again. "Marcus, I am Sarah Leigh Dixon but just call me Sarah."
"What are you so excited about?" Lilly ask and shake his hand. "I'm Lilly."
"Don't you see?" Sarah ask with a giggle and give Charlton a hug. He give her a little nod and a kiss. "My son has finally found the love of his life."
"Richard," Richard smile and shake his hand giving Charlton a soft smile.
"I heard so much about you," Marcus smile at the three grownups. He give Sarah an even bigger smile. "I just want to say that I am such a big fan of your work."
"Marcus has been going on for weeks to meet you," Charlton laugh taking his boyfriend's hand.
"I'm so glad you finally found someone," Sarah smile nicely at Charlton.
"So you two are not angry at me?" Charlton ask a bit confused. "Since I'm gay."
"Of course not! I'm your mother honey, I always knew," Sarah giggle and give Richard a happy smile. "Right, Richard?"
"I always knew," Richard nod with a smile. "It's by time we get the truth out."
"What about your reputation, Sarah?" Lilly ask with a bitchy tone. Sarah feel anger welling up inside of her, but this is not a way to impress her son's boyfriend.
"I don't care about my reputation, Lilly!" She shout very annoyed now. "I don't give fuck about what the world thinks. This is my son and he's happy. Besides, I always wanted another son."
"You did?" Richard ask her with an odd look. She nod with a smile and look at Charlton that give her a wink showing her it's alright.
"Yes, I did," she smile. "I wanted many more children, so any in laws are welcome. Spare me the pregnancy and the years of raising them. Last time I got a baby, I can't explain in what pain I was so this is a score!"
Marcus laugh at her statement and look at Charlton.
"So, can I meet your awesome grandmother now?"  Marcus ask. Charlton chuckle and nod his head. They walk away slowly. Sarah's smile disappear slowly. She look at Lilly a little angry.
"Listen to me you little bitch," she got straight down Lilly's throat. "You don't fucking dare insult my children and their choices. You didn't push them out of you worn out vagina, okay? You keep that hole in your smug little face shut before I push a vibrator down your fucking throat."
"Okay," Richard laugh awkwardly. "Let's just all calm down. Lilly, Sarah is right, you can't just come around and judge our kids, okay? Besides, gay is today's lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with it."
"Yes especially since you fucked that Parker girl in the girl's bathroom in school," Sarah add angrily. Lilly gasp and grab her mouth. "I caught you, remember?"
"What?" Richard ask terrified.
"That was suppose to stay a secret, Sarah!"
"Just like your fucking silent affair with my husband? Fuck you Lilly!"
"Oh my gosh," Samuel sighed and arrive at them. "Can you guys not do this now?"
"Don't worry, I've said enough," Sarah reply about to walk away. She stop and look at them. "One thing, was it worth it?"
"What?" Lilly ask. "Cheating? Yes, Sarah it was worth it."
She nod and look at Richard that look at her blankly.
"Was it worth it, Richard?" she ask taking a deep breath in.
"No," he reply shaking his head.
"Then why did you do it?"
"I don't know," he reply pulling up her shoulders.
"Yeah? Well, I don't know why either," she reply and give him an angry look. "Probably because she could always get her way with my boyfriends."
Sarah role her eyes and walk away. Richard take a deep breath in and look angrily at Lilly.
"You did this just to hurt her," he whisper in disbelief. "I meant nothing to you and you took away the only thing that mattered to me."
"Oh don't be all innocent with me now!" she go off on him. "You needed it!"
He shake his head and walk away from her. She stand there in disbelief and shake her head walking out.

Sarah stand in the bathroom and take a deep breath in. She close her eyes when a tear came across her cheek. Sally enter the bathroom slowly giving her daughter a sorry look.
"Oh sweetheart," she give her daughter a tight hug and rub her back.
"She doesn't deserve him mom," she cry. "Why is he still with her?"
"Love, your marriage is long over," she whisper and take her daughter's handbag to fix her make up. "So what will you do? Let them get to you, move on or fight for him? Sarah, do you still love Richard?"
"I don't," she cry softly. "I thought I stopped loving him long ago, but I don't really think I'm over him.  I guess I'm still in love with him."
Sally nod with a smile and touch her face. She look down and wipe off her tears.
"He lost me. I didn't loose him so I won't fight for him." She give her mother a little smile. "It's time to see how much effort he can put in. Will he leave Lilly and try fixing what he broke or stay married to her and live in her lies. This is out of my hands now."
Sally nod with a little smile and immediately start fixing her make up like any mother would.
