Chapter 12

As I have said before I didn't expect this story to do as well as it did but here we are! Thank you all so much ily all💖💖💖also I've had so many people come to me about making spaghetti in a microwave- you can make it on a stove too yall lmao but it's much easier and faster in a microwave for me lol🤣also I feel like y'all are gonna love the finale coming up in about two chapters!!

I woke up this morning and rolled over to see it was daylight, so I got up out of bed. I walked down stairs to see that Dabi was surprisingly already up, and had made breakfast?
"What's all this for..?" I asked, I was kind of confused because he's not really like this.
"Um can I not fix breakfast for us? I just felt like it once I woke up." Dabi said in a confused voice.

{ DABIS POV!! <3}
"It's not really just because I felt like it, I never feel like doing anything too productive. But she's nice to me, and I kinda like her. So how else am I gonna get that across?" I thought to myself.

{BACK TO YOUR POV!! :) }
"Hm, okay then. And yes feel free to get up before me and make breakfast everyday if you'd like!" I say jokingly although it would be nice.
Dabi laughs a bit at what I said
I sat down at the table and ate breakfast, which was surprisingly pretty good. Once I got up I was stopped by Dabi saying something.
"How was it? Did I do good?" Dabi asks
"Yes Dabi, it was pretty good" I say.
"Okay, I'll take it." Dabi says.
I smiled right before I went to refill my drink.
The inside of the refrigerator looked...rather bare.
"Uh hey, we should probably go to a grocery store sometime soon. We are running out of food." I say
"Well, do you have anything else to do? I don't? We could to that today if you want." Dabi says
"I don't, so sure! Sounds like a plan." I say
"Okay." Dabi says as he gets up from the table
"I'll go put on some different clothes some that stuff least look decent" I say
"Okay, I'll go do the same" Dabi says
We both go upstairs and into our rooms and shut the doors, I grab a different pair of pants and put them on. I walked over to my closet and stood there looking at my shirts trying to find one to go with my pants. I grabbed one that I thought would look pretty good with it and put it on. I then walked over to my mirror and fixed my hair a bit. I walked over and grabbed a pair of shoes and then walked out.
Dabi was waiting outside of his door for me.
"Okay, I'm good let's go." I say
"Okay. Who's driving?" Dabi asks
"Me" I say
"What? Why that was quick...why won't you let me?" Dabi asks
"Dabi...have you seen yourself driving...?" I ask
"Uh- am I bad at it?" Dabi asks
"No not the driving part, you can drive pretty good but just your road rage..." I say
"Sorry, but I can't help it! There are just so many f•cking idiots who can't drive and it makes me so angry!" Dabi says
"And I know that. but you flip people off, you honk the car horn and your yelling." I say
"Ugh fine, I won't and I'll work on being more calm when driving." Dabi says
"Okay, I'll let you drive but please at least try to stay calm before getting mad..." I say
"Okay...fine" Dabi says
We walk downstairs and he opens the door for us, I walk and get in the passenger seat of the car as Dabi sets in the drivers seat. We put on our seatbelts and dabi started driving

{time skip}

We had just pulled into the grocery store parking lot and we were now looking for a parking spot, after a few minutes we found one.
We got out of the car and went inside
"Okay so we probably need more spaghetti stuff, breakfast foods, ice cream and I guess we could get a few things for snacks" I say
"Okay- what do you want to go get first" Dabi asks me
"Uh- let's start with breakfast things and move on from there" I say
"Okay that works" Dabi says
Dabi went and got a shopping cart...hm how nice.
I started pushing the cart to the refrigerated item section, once we got there me and dabi grabbed things and put them in the cart. Breakfast foods and stuff that we found that we liked. From there we went to the ice cream, we honestly put anything in the cart that looked good..
"Okay and last is the spaghetti things and we can go get random snacks too" I say
"Alright let's go" Dabi says
I nod my head and we head to the isles for the stuff
Once we got the spaghetti things we then went and grabbed snacks. We got candy, mini cakes, chips and many other things
"Okay, that's it. Is there anything you need while we are here?" I ask Dabi
"Nope I'm good" he says
"Okay" I say
We walk over to the checkout and we start putting out stuff on the counter once the person scanned it, she told us our total.
"$102.43 is the total!" The cashier said
Me and dabi both started pulling out money
"Dabi not right now. Please don't do this, just let me pay!" I say
"No." Dabi said
"Yes I'm not doing this I'm paying!" I say
"Oh no your not" Dabi says
"Please take my money" he says to the cashier
I gave him a glare, he rolled his eyes at me
I start putting our bags into the cart
Once we done I give a smile to the cashier
"Have a nice day you two!" The cashier says
"You too! Thank you!" I say before walking out
Me and dabi start walking out of the grocery store
"Why?" I say
"Why what?" Dabi asks
"Why did you argue with me and not let me pay!" I ask
"Because think about how much of an a••hole I would look like if I made you pay? It's chivalry y/n" Dabi says
"Fine" I say
We had made it to the car and dabi helped me put our groceries in the trunk of the car
Once we were done we both got back in the car and went home

*time skip to once we are home bc I don't know what to add*

"Okay! Home, let's go inside and put up the groceries" I say
"That was kinda the plan" Dabi says
"Well yeah duh" I say

We go inside and dabi helps me get the groceries,
"Okay so, refrigerated things obviously go in refrigerator and boxed stuff or chips go in the cabinets" I say
"Okay" Dabi says
We start putting the food away.

*time skip*

We had finally got done with the groceries, I took off my shoes and went to the couch
Dabi sits across from me, he's been oddly polite today...it's not like him.

{DABIS POV}

"How am I gonna get this point across...I feel like the hints I've tried giving, she's not getting...should I do something bigger? Would she like it? Will she say no? Is she gonna hate it...oh well...you only live once I guess...f•ck it I'm doing something bigger" I thought to myself...
