claudia littlesea always had her head in the clouds. something her cousin jacob liked to make fun of her for, though she usually hit him if he said it to her face. she had big dreams of nothing in particular, favoring her imaginary world to the real one. life in la push wasn't exciting, nothing ever happened. it bored her to no end, but until she was old enough to move away, she had jake, and their friends embry and quil to entertain her.

claudia wasn't unhappy, but a frown was more common on her face than a smile. and embry hated that. she never understood his obsession with making her smile, not that she minded it however. her silent crush on embry was something she chose to keep so secret that even she rarely thought about it. however, after embry's sudden disappearance and reappearance, as well as the ever-looming presence of a friendly grey wolf outside her home, claudia comes to learn that forks was far more interesting than the world in her head-and that embry would do anything to see her smile.
