It had burrowed into her spine. Before she could even attempt to stop it she collapsed to the floor. Her nervous system was shutting down. She felt a warm numbness spread through her body, starting from the base of her spine and working its way out. She was helpless as she very quickly realised she felt nothing. Not the air on her skin or the carpet against her back. She then heard the sounds of tearing flesh and snapping tendons. She gulped as she heard her vertebra each pop off one at a time as she watched her skin begin to expand before splitting open, her nervous system tearing open her body. Her skin tore open like a shredded paper while her muscles were pulled open like pulled pork. She couldn't feel or do anything as she stared in horror at her mangled body. As she watched skin split from flesh and flesh split from bone she heard it crawl out of her spine, ready for its feast.
