Zoe had always been a weird kid, one of her favourite hobbies being trying to win a staring contest with herself in the bathroom mirror. And one day, she won. It was only small things at first, maybe a twitch or odd blink in her reflection that she hadn't done but soon it became more bold. Sometimes she would walk past a mirror and her reflection wouldn't be there. She had found this endearing when she was little but now she was a teenager she felt it unnerving. It was always watching her from the mirror. It had begun to display increasingly worrying behaviour as well. It would watch her from the reflection in the pots and pans. It would laugh a silent laughter whenever she was in pain. But what was most unnerving of all was when she glanced it trying to crawl out from the mirror to grab her.
