"I won't."

My heartbeat slows down. She is the only thing that I can see, despite knowing the chaos around. Everything seems to slow down as I watch a tear fell on her eyes.

"I'm sorry." I whispered wiping it away. I don't know what I am apologizing for but I my heart breaks seeing her cry. I breathed out calming my powers, unknowingly releasing the monster behind me.

But the sky turned dark, clouds covered the sky as her golden eye glows. Her red eye also did as she walked past me still holding my hand, facing the Lycan. It stared at her unmoving.

"Run." She whispered in a very low voice but I saw terror in the eyes of the monster. It stepped back.

"Run." She repeated.

I heard a whimper and it is strange seeing a big monster cowering in fear as it run, almost tripping as it goes. One by one, the other monsters also did.

Did she... just to do that?

"Are you two alright?" Dela appeared out of nowhere.

"Uh... yes." Maybe it came as a question. I don't know what just happened.

"We should get out of here." Ajax came running. "They are unto us."

Did the other guardians sent them? Did Elena sent them? But how? Lycans are technically werewolves. Aren't they suppose to be under my domain?

"Aiden."

"Huh?" I turned to Ajax.

"I said we should get out of here. They might come back and this village cannot withstand that kind of attack."

"Ok." I don't know what to say anymore. Innocent ones get hurt whenever we are, I can't go back to my old pack, I don't want to bring this to them.

"We should go to the midnight palace." He suggested.

"Don't you think those things won't look for you there?" Dela commented.

"We can fight them there."

"Vampires are not exactly stronger than Lycans." The two started bickering. I tuned them out as I stare at Lucy. She is not letting go of my hand as I, too, holds unto her. What just happened? Does she have Laine's powers over them? How did she stopped them?Suddenly, I felt a link weakening, about to snap. I turned to the direction of it. The King, he is dying.

"You two, let's go. We are going to midnight palace. Hey!"

The King is on his last breaths, but not now. He should not die. Not yet.

"Aiden." It was Ajax.

"Are you alright?" I think it was Dela. I don't know my head is a mess.

"Sicilia." I muttered. "I need to go to Sicilia."

"Well that is strange, but quite clever. They might skip that place thinking that you would go to the vampires."

"But that is far from here."

"Do you have a car?" I asked, though I am considering that running is faster.

"This is an old village, you can't expect a car here." Dela shrugs her shoulder.

"The one we used was smashed by the tree."I have no time to lose. I should get there before he... I should get there the soonest.

"King." Lucy spoke facing the direction of Sicilia. Wait, I am still holding her hand, did she know? My hand was to retract from her but she held on. Right, I promised not to let her go.
