13. Boy's Night

Abhimaan stood in the middle of the office, his voice cutting through the usual buzz of activity like a sharp blade. His eyes narrowed, and his face contorted with frustration as he berated his employees.

"I can't believe this incompetence!" he bellowed, his voice echoing off the office walls. "How many times do I have to tell you? We can't afford mistakes like this! Get it together, people!"

The employees cowered under his gaze, exchanging uneasy glances. Some frantically tried to fix the errors on their computers, while others scribbled notes in a desperate attempt to salvage the situation.

"You're all professionals! Act like it!" Abhimaan's voice thundered.

Suddenly his phone rang and he picked it up without looking at the caller I'd. 

"Hi Maan." Came the voice of Aradhna. The voice was enough to calm him down. 

"Hi meri Jaan. How are you?" He said in the calmest and sweetest voice. All the employees were confused looking at their boss talking in a calm voice as if he wasn't just yelling at them.

"I am good, how are you?" She asked

"Better now after hearing your voice." He said

"Maan, I wanted to tell you something are you free?" She asked

"Just give me a minute."He said and shifted his focus on his employees

"I expect the corrected report on my desk within the hour. And I don't want to see a single error. Am I clear?"

His employees nodded vigorously, their faces pale with fear. Abhimaan turned on his heel and retreated to his office, the door closing behind him.

"Bolo meri Jaan." He said on the phone

"Maan, I am going to be out of country, you won't be able to contact for the next 3 days." She said

"Is everything okay?" He asked

"Yes, I just have to attend a meeting and everything has to be confidential, I'll not be able to contact anyone." She said

"But what if you need something or you don't feel well or you-" He was rambling when Aradhna cut him off.

"Relax Maan, everything will be alright." She said

"Will you be coming to Nainital? We have to leave after 3 days as well? Should I get the trip postponed?" He asked 

"No, I'll meet you directly at the airport." She said

"I'll miss you." He said

"I'll miss you too, bye!" 

"Bye" He said and cut the call.

He started working when his cabin door opened. he didn't look up to see who it was because only Karan had the audacity to enter his cabin without knocking.

"What do you want?" Abhimaan said 

"I am hurt." Karan said

Abhimaan looked at him and gave him 'I-don't-care' look and went back to his work.

"You spoke softly to her over the phone and you are not even looking at me." Karan whined

"Shut up Karan, let me do my work." Abhimaan said while typing something on his laptop

Karan shut his laptop and said,"No, you'll come with me, we'll have a boy's night."

"We'll have a what?" Abhimaan asked horrified
