After all the chaos, finally we were all together back to work doing our best in our fields, when this happened.
I went to my basketball coach to ask about the selections for the school team, when I found Shaurya to be there.

" Good morning, sir" I said to the coach.

"Good morning Sanya, I was about to call you, this year less girls have shown interest in the game , so we think there can't be a different team for girls"

"Sir , are you proposing a single team for both boys and girls?"

" I was Sanya, but Shaurya disagrees"

" Of course sir, boys and girls can't compete in games which require physical strength, I think Sanya will agree with me here."

" Definitely not Shaurya, I believe this will make the team even stronger as we can have the best players from both boys and girls and don't have to take average players just to complete the team"

" If girls give auditions against boys none of them will be selected"

" Is that what you think? You know what Shaurya, I challenge you for a one-on-one match , right now".

" Someone is really overconfident today".

" Yes, you" .

"Okay then challenge accepted".

Since we both were in our sports uniform, we ran to the basketball court, and on our coach's whistle, we started the match. I accept the fact that Shaurya was a good competition, but I won.

" Congratulations Sanya" ,

"Even you played well Shaurya" , we said to each other formally.

" But every girl of the school is not Sanya Agarwal , right?", he said in a sarcastic tone.

" That would be seen during the selections Shaurya Malhotra", I said as I picked my bag to leave.

I told the whole team to work their best but not over pressurize themselves, as there is no performance pressure. We all worked hard in the evening for the selections next day.

Next day, the selections happened and the results were quite fair, with 5 girls (including me) and 7 boys ( including Shaurya) in the team. Definitely, Shaurya trained his team well too. We used to practice daily together in the evening after school.

The day before our first interschool match as a team, when everyone left, we both were packing our bags when I caught Shaurya looking at the cheerleaders , who were there for the cricket team.

" Seriously Shaurya"

"What?"

" It's so easy for girls like her to distract you boys" .

" I thought cheerleaders were there to appreciate your game , not to distract anyone" .

" But someone looked distracted".

"Jealous because no one is distracted because of you" .
